California District 66: 2009 Seniors
The Playing Rules
2007 Umpire School Rules Manual
Rules – Green Book rules apply. Maximum # of players is 15. MPR of 6 consecutive defensive outs and 1 at bat apply
Scores - I want the HOME team to call in the score. WIN or Lose. After 48 hours the score will be put in as a 7-0 win for the Visitor.
Baseballs – Senior Little League baseball’s will be utilized. Each TEAM will provide 2 (two) new ball and have 2 Game worthy baseballs on hand at each game.
Umpires – Umpires (two are recommended) will be the responsibility of the HOME team. Since teams will be traveling on Saturday’s, umpires should wait a minimum of 15-30 min before leaving if a team is late. We need to be a little courteous with this. If a team is consistently late then we may have to revisit this. I hope not.
ALL safety regulations must be abided by. All equipment must be Little League Approved. Umpires should be checking bats and helmets prior to each game. If the On-Deck area is in foul ground nothing can be left on the ground see rule 3.14.
3.14 -- Members of the offensive team shall carry all gloves and other equipment off the field and to the dugout while their team is at bat. No equipment shall be left lying on the field, either in fair or foul territory.
Frequently, this becomes a problem in the Junior, Senior and Big League level, near the on-deck position. Unnecessary equipment on the field can result in an interference call by the umpire, leading to either an award of bases or an out call, depending on the team at fault.
You all know you need a first aid kit at every game/practice. Make sure you have your applications and medical releases at each game. Send your accident reports to your Safety Officers.
Rosters – Senior division rosters need to sent to Little League ASAP. I would also like a full roster of your team emailed to me to so that if there is a question about a player (age or eligibility) I have the information. I will also be putting together a game day phone list. I will need the:
Manager’s Name –
Home Phone –
Game Day Phone –
Pitching Records – Option 1 will be used. I will be attaching links to 2 documents. They are self explanatory and need to be filled out and signed by the opposing Manager at the end of each game. Pitch counts should be compared at the end of each inning or when a pitcher is removed. If there is a major conflict in the number of pitches the home book will take precedence.

Option 1
Pitchers league age 16 and under must adhere to the following rest requirements:
• If a player pitches 61 or more pitches in a day, three (3) calendar days of rest, and a game (see e. below), must be observed.

• If a player pitches 1-20 pitches in a day, no (0) calendar days of rest are required.
Schedule Changes/Reschedules – The only day I have to play rescheduled games is on Sunday am or pm. LG is open that day and I am hoping to get SV. These are the 2 fields with fences. If you need to reschedule a game or you know you’re not going to field a team on your scheduled day and time. Be ready to play on Sunday. Pray for no rain and we will knock these 13 games out.
Your Schedule - attached is the final draft. Travel is a part of this schedule. I would have liked to spread this out more but time is not an ally.
