My name is Arthur (AJ) Andersen, President of the Calumet City Youth Organization (CCYO). The CCYO is a chartered 501c3 organization dedicated to the children of Calumet City and Burnham. The Calumet City Youth Organization uses sports to teach the children the importance of teamwork and friendship. Our summer program includes Cal Ripken baseball for boys, Cal Ripken softball for girls and traveling Babe Ruth teams. Hundreds of children from ages 4 thru 18 are involved in CCYO baseball & softball programs annually.
. Today’s economic environment has caused the families of the Calumet City Youth Organization a great deal of stress. The CCYO took this into consideration and reduced its registration fees this year. This reduction put a tremendous strain on our operating budget. The Calumet City Youth Organization needs your help. We would like a donation to our program. Any donation will go a long way in helping offset our league costs.
. The Calumet City Youth Organization recognizes its sponsors in many different ways. The CCYO will place an ad on our website along with a sponsorship certificate in our concession stand. Sponsors will also be recognized during game announcements.
. The Calumet City Youth Organization is proud of our programs. Many of our kids continue playing baseball and softball long after they leave our program. The CCYO is proud to have had five children play for Team USA. The boys traveled to Europe to represent their country and the great game of baseball. The Calumet City Youth Organization is very proud to have one of our very own, Carmen Pignatiello, play for the Chicago Cubs.
