Karen Pack Passes Away
On May 24th, Karen lost her battle with cancer. Karen, and her late husband Jerry, had guided District 7's Challenger program for 25 years. There will be an informal memorial service on Saturday, June 2nd, 1PM at the Eagles Hall, 4401 Fruitridge Road, 95820. A pot luck will be held after the service. NO FLOWERS please. Donations can be made to the family.

TAHOE TALLAC HEAT WINS SECOND ANNUAL URBAN INITIATIVE JAMBOREE
Congratulations to Airport, Parkway and Tahoe Tallac Little Leagues for participating in the eight team, 2nd Annual, Northern California Urban Initiative Softball Jamboree held at Eastern Little League in Stockton.
Parkway & Tahoe Tallac qualified for the semi-finals and Tahoe Tallac advanced to the championship game against West Sacramento Little League. In a hard fought, tense, close game, Tahoe Tallac won. The game was a great defensive battle on both sides and the full six inning game was played in 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Thanks to the staff and volunteer umpires in District 8 for a great 15 game tournament.

ELECTIONS FOR DISTRICT ADMINISTRATOR
The election for the position of Little League District 7 District Administrator was held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012. There were no candidates for election. An additional election may be held on June 4, 2012? The term of office, voted by the current District 7 League Presidents, is for a three (3) year term beginning October 1, 2012. It is recommended that the position be filled by a past league president and that the individual have the time to fulfill all aspects of the position.
