News and Announcements:
All-Stars All-star teams are currently practicing and will begin playing games next week.All games are played at Rio Vista Park which is located at 86th Ave and Thunderbird. Our first game is on Thursday, July 2nd on Field 7 against Arrowhead. Our second game is on Tuesday, July 7th on Field 5 against Alhambra. Our third game is on Wednesday, July 8th on Field 6 against Shaw Butte. Our 9/10 year old team plays at 5:30 and our 11/12 team plays immediately after. Please come out and support our all-stars. PLEASE HELP SUPPORT OUR LEAGUE BY BECOMING A BOARD MEMBER. Our next Board meeting will be held on Thursday June 25th at 7:00 p.m. at the Glendale Public Library on 59th Ave between Dunalp and Peoria. This will be our annual general meeting. If you would like to join the board please e-mail us your name. Elections will be held at this meeting for the next board.
The most important component of Little League Baseball is the local Little League. Cactus Wren Little League is dedicated to the ideals that make Little League Baseball the greatest program in the world for kids. We understand that by demonstrating values of teamwork, sportsmanship, fair play, and community participation to our children, we help them to become good and decent citizens.
