Welcome to the Cotton Classic Tournament Site
This site will be used to put out as much information as possible, as soon as possible for the Little Leagues in the States of the Central and Southwest regions who might have teams eligible to participate in this tournament.

The "Cotton Classic" is a Invitational Tournament Sanctioned by Little League Baseball's "Special Games" rules. Teams that are State Champions and Runners-up will be issued an Invitation to Participate.
The Host for the 2009 "Cotton Classic" will be Blytheville Arkansas. The tournament is schedule to take place July 31st through August 5th. Teams to report on the 31st at 8pm at the Blytheville Holiday Inn.
We will be able to provide 2 meals per day for all listed on the tournament affidavit. Feel free to contact the tournament director for more information.

2009 Cotton Classic Game Schedule
The handout attached to this news item is the game schedule for this years tournament. Like many other events in our area, the poor economy has hurt our tournament this year. But, we will still put on an outstanding event for the kids that participate.

Cotton Classic To be Televised
The Cotton Classic Tournament has reached an agreement with Mid America Sports Management for it's Radio/Tv Network to broadcast games at the tournament. The broadcast schedule is still underdevelopment and will be announced at a later date. The Mid America Youth Sports Network is a Internet Based Radio and Television service. This arrangement will allow anyone in the world with a internet connection to lisen and view the games live. Recordings of the games and Video DVDs will still be made available for purchase at the tournament. A broadcast schedule will be posted here on our website once the tourament begins.

Exciting Round Robin Play for this years Tournament
This years Cotton Classic will use a Round Robin format that will give each team 5 games during the Round Robin. The outcome of this play will seat a single elimination tournament.

COTTON Classic Tournament Hotel Information
The Cactus Classic Hotel Sponsor will be the Holiday Inn of Blytheville. Please call Gay Massey at 870-763-5800 she will be coordinating the lodging for the tournament. If the Holiday Inn fills, she will be directing our teams to other properties owned by our sponsor. The motel will be providing one of our meals per day at the tournament, so if you choose to stay elsewhere your meal allowance will be reduced by one per day.
