Carlisle High School boys' lacrosse gave first-year head coach Steve Kidder his first career victory with a 13-5 win over host Red Lion Tuesday.

Junior Tim Margeson paced the Thundering Herd with six goals and senior Mike Thompson netted two. Juniors Nate Bussard and Colin Shevlin along with sophomores Chase West, Tyler Getz and Jordan Wenger contributed one goal apiece.

Sophomore Mark Blashford recorded two assists, followed by Junior Ben Berk, sophomore Sean Kunst, Thompson, West, Shevlin and Wenger with one each. Senior goalie Andrew Dymski recorded three saves with sophomore Seth Wrightstone posting two. Junior Matt Meals won seven faceoffs with Getz claiming three.

After serving many years as an assistant coach, Kidder took over the reigns of The Herd when 10-year coach Dave Breschi stepped down this year to coach at the Middle School level.

In JV action, Carlisle tied Red Lion 5-5. Freshman Chris Porter led the Herd with three goals followed by sophomore Eric Cantor and freshman Cory Hartung with one each. Freshman Robert Gilroy contributed two assists, and sophomore Theo Daniels along with freshman Will Hoover posted one each
