BYU Hockey maintained it's number 8 ranking out of 37 teams in the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division II Western Region for games played through February 9, 2008.

This ranking qualifies BYU to compete in the Western Regional Tournament February 22-23 in Oakland, California for a berth in the National Tournament.

The IceCats are ranked 8th out of 30 teams in the ACHA Division II Western Region for the 2005-2006 season. This is the final ranking of the season, and qualifies the IceCats to compete in the Western Region Tournament in San Jose on Feb 17-18.

Teams ranked one and two receive an automatic berth in the National Tournament. Teams ranked three through ten compete in the regional tournament for two more berths in the National Tournament, which will be held in Rochester, New York on March 8-11.

The IceCats narrowly edged out USC for the #8 spot by one point in the voting. This gives the Icecats a first round match-up against Eastern Washington in the Regional Tournament. USU and Weber will play each other first round.
