Welcome to BYC Lax On-Line...the home of the boys lacrosse program of the Brandywine Youth Club (BYC).  Located in Western Delaware County, in Pennsylvania’s Brandywine Valley, BYC operates various intramural and travel league lacrosse programs participating in the Chester County Lacrosse Association (CCLA).

U15A Team Tryouts for tonight will be rescheduled.

Sunday's session is still on and the second session is tentatively targetted for MONDAY NIGHT at BYC.

GOT LAX? 

BYC will once again be offering an indoor lacrosse clinic this winter for boys who will be eligible for U-9 and U-11 lacrosse in the spring of 2010.   The clinic offers a great introduction to the sport for beginners, and for returning players a chance to hone their skills in a fun and instructive setting. 

Clinic details:
-         8 Sunday sessions, beginning on Sunday Jan 10th   held at Maple Zone (on Rt. 322)
-         90 minute sessions (45 minutes of skills followed by a 45 minute game)
-         U-9:  4:00pm - 5:30pm   /   U-11:  5:30pm – 7:00pm
-         Requires full equipment:  BYC provides reversible pinnie (jersey) and mouth guards.  BYC has a limited number of helmets, shoulder pads, and gloves to rent to players for the winter / spring seasons.  If you choose to take advantage of that, the only equipment parents are required to provide are a lacrosse stick and arm pads.

Parents,
In an effort to maximize the number of boys who can attend our A Team 
tryout sessions, we are making one FINAL change to the upcoming 
schedule.

WE WILL NOT BE HOLDING THE U-15A TRYOUT ON SUNDAY 11/8.

Rather, we are moving it to next Wednesday, because nearly 25% of the 
U-15 players who are registered for the tryouts play on football teams 
that have advanced in the playoffs and have games on Sunday afternoon 
(including our very own BYC 120lb varsity).

THE U-13A TRYOUT WILL STILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY, BUT FROM 2:30 - 4:30 PM AT GILLESPIE PARK.

We do apologize for making another adjustment to the schedule, but 
we're trying to be as responsive as possible to changing circumstances 
- again, with the goal of maximizing the number of players who can 
attend the sessions. Thank you for your understanding. See below for 
the complete modified schedule.

Sunday, November 15th at BYC's Gillespie Park:
-  U-13A Team tryout #2           12:30pm - 2:30pm
-  U-15A Team tryout #2             3:00pm - 5:00pm
