League President:     Jeff Ryan         jryan1031@yahoo.com     508-783-2024

Concession stand and message center:                                       508-883-4431

Mites, Junior & Major Divisions:

Fall Ball Objective – Have ALL players work on their skills at a higher level.

The Mites division requires that pitching machines be used for all participants.  NO EXCEPTIONS

The Junior division has a 3 walk maximum per inning, after which the pitcher must be replaced.

The Majors division has a 4 walk maximum per inning, after which the pitcher must be replaced.

Most of the 8, 9 & 10 year-old players have never played either of B.Y.B.I.’s spring Int’l or Major leagues, & require instruction & increased competition in order to prepare for next year’s spring teams.

 Rules:

  • Pitchers can only pitch 2 innings per day. This will promote more pitchers being used. Pitchers can re-enter the game once, pitch one inning then re-enter in a later inning, but be cautious. Bad example of misuse would be: If the player pitches the first inning, and sits or plays in the field for 90 minutes then comes back in to pitch the 6th inning, he\she may do damage to their arm.
Pitching Notes: Any player, whether on the field or warming up outside, can enter a game at anytime for the pitcher. One pitch in an inning constitutes a full inning pitched.
  • Continuous batting is to be used at all times and FREE substitution. Players should be encouraged to play several positions during a game. THIS MEANS, players should not sit on the bench for more than one inning during any Saturday game unless there is a discipline issue in which the league director should be contacted.
  • One 2 hour time period will be assigned for a game. As many innings as can be played should be allowed. NOTE: At 2 hours, the batter at the plate is the last batter, once they complete their at bat, the GAME is OVER!  A minimum of between inning warm up time is the expectation!
  • There is a scheduled 15 minutes of open time between games. PLEASE EXIT the dugouts immediately after game, and clean the trash out before you leave!
  • One Umpire at the plate ONLY! This is FALL Baseball gentleman and ladies, NO arguing with umpires, they are doing the best they can. Umpire will open the job box with the equipment and have the game balls and bases.
  • All metal bats, Little League approved are acceptable.
  • Players can be used as 1st or 3rd base coaches, but should wear a helmet while coaching and remain in the coaches boxes at all times.
  • NO FORFEITS: If a team has less than nine players, then the opposing team would lend the last players who have batted for the field only as required.
Example.  If it is the first inning, team one needs two players; they then borrow two players from the opposing team, the last two players in their line-up. The next inning, they borrow the last two outs made in the previous inning. These borrowed players can play anywhere in the field except pitcher. They always bat for their own team.
  • All Normal Little league rules apply except for a continuous batting order & pitching rules.
  • NO ON DECK Batters, all players should remain in the dugout. (BYBI and Williamsport rules)
  • No HEAD first Diving, and a Must Slide to Avoid Contact Rule is in effect that states the runner should slide feet first to avoid contact. The umpire has complete and final call on this issue.
  • No Balks, the ball is dead, no advancement.
