2013 Park Renovations Q&A

 

Intermediate (50/70) Baseball Program

  • With help from The Baldwinsville Kiwanis Club & the Reeves Family, Baldwinsville Little League will be renovating Field #4 making it a "dual-purpose" field.
  • Field 4 will be modified to accomodate both the 12U diamond(traditional) size field and the Intermediate Level(50/70) size field.
  • Intermediate(50/70) Division has a pitching distance of 50' & base path length of 70'.  
  • The purpose of an Intermediate 50/70 Division is to help players make the transition from the smaller 12U field to the full-sized field of 60'6" pitching & 90' base path.
  • The batting cage will be relocated from its current location to the right-field fence line of Field #1.
  • A new outfield fence will be installed on Field #4 beyond its current location. Fence lines and dugouts will be upgraded.
  • The outfield grass will be cut back, new high quality portable bases will be installed and a warning track created along the outfield fence line.
  • Work is expected to begin in mid-April,2013 and conclude by mid-summer.
