The Maple Leaf NSA and ASA Tournaments drew more than 60 of the elite fastpitch softball teams from Ohio and surrounding states to our community, Claridon, Newbury, Pakrman and Middlefield.

We partnered with the Claridon Youth League and the Geauga Police Athletic League in the sponsorship of our annual tournament for Minors baseball (10U) which was renamed in 2004 in memory of Cliff Brilla, a local High School player who lost his life in an accident.

Additionally we participate in the Travel Team mode through a partnering with Geauga County Police Athletic League (GCPAL). GPAL features teams in the 12U in the Great Lakes Baseball League and affiliated with the Northern Ohio Belles with the Geauga Police Athletic League for 2009.

The BYL began the local participation of the Geauga Knights of Baseball program for 12U players in Cooperstown, NY (Cooperstown Dreams Park). This year's team is scheduled to will play the week of July 11. 2009. For more information on this program, go to www.cooperstowndreamspark.com.

Our fields at the Geauga County Fairgrounds, are in continuing renovation and we have made several improvements to the fields and storage facilities ovet the past two years. We would appreciate any help in the form of labor, material or financial donations you would care to make. Please contact Bob Himmelein 440-773-9973 or Kevin Cook 440-834-9019 if you can provide any assistance.
