Sports for the Community of Burton, OH.

We developed the Cliff Brila Memorial Tournament, which originally started as a Minors/Majors tournament for baseball to comemmorate the 200th anniversity of Burton.  We began bastketball, volleyball and softball programs in our community and later turned the basketball and volleyball programs over to another group as these were school season sports.

Additionally we participate in the Travel Team mode through a partnering with Geauga County Police Athletic League (GCPAL). GPAL has featured teams in the 12U in the Great Lakes Baseball League . The BYL began the local participation of the Geauga Knights of Baseball program for 12U players in Cooperstown, NY (Cooperstown Dreams Park).  This year's team is scheduled to will play the week of July 13. 2013.. For more information on this program, go to www.cooperstowndreamspark.com.

In 2006 we entered into the Police Athletic League (GPAL) program in conjunction with the other community based Youth Leagues from the Geauga Youth Baseball and Sotball Association. This afflilation with the Geauga County Sheriff's Department enables us to continue to expand out programs.

Our fields at the Geauga County Fairgrounds, are in continuing renovation and we have made several improvements to the fields and storage facilities ovet the past two years. We would appreciate any help in the form of labor, material or financial donations you would care to make. Please contact Bob Himmelein by e-mail (arabayarjh@sbcglobal.net) if you can provide assistance.
