The Connecticut Developmental Volleyball (CDV, LLC.) youth volleyball camp completed its seventh successful summer holding four sessions in two different locations. More than 150 girls were introduced and improved their skills under the direction of Coach Jockle and the rest of the CDV staff.
Camp Philosophy:
The CDV camps introduce and improve young athletes in the very exciting game of competitive volleyball. They stress individual instruction with an emphasis on technique, demonstration, video analysis, drills and game play. Enrollment will be limited to insure proper attention to each camper and to make the best use of space. Lessons will focus on court movement and understanding, setting, serving, serve receive, individual and team defense, blocking and attacking.
Who should attend:
The CDV camps are designed for girls entering grades 4 through 12 unless specified as a pre-high school camp.
What to bring:
Campers should bring sneakers, socks, T-shirt and shorts with a water bottle.
Locations:
2009 saw camps in Stratford and in Wallingford, Connecticut. CDV hopes to expand to new locations. CVD also hopes to offer a coaching clinic designed for success in the high school game.
