The Middletown Bulldogs started in 2001 with the vision to teach our youth the fundamentals of basketball, team work, fair play and positive attitude.  We started out with three teams and have increased in 2004 to six teams.  and we had six teams in 2005 due to the high demand of youth that want to play the game of basketball. In 2006 we have 9 teams eight teams of young men and one team of young ladies.  We are glad to have had 3 of the best of rest juniors in the state according to the CT Pro ,College, High School  News from The Hartford Courant 1/6/2005,  (Chauncey Hardy, Chevar Rankins and Amari Spievey). These three young men along with others have lead one of the Bulldog teams to a D2 national championship game placing number 2 in the nation in the year of 2003. This year 2007 these young men along with Stephen Faulkner are now in college and can be seen playing at Iowa,Sacred Hart,Stoneybrook and Western. Bulldogs Seniors to watch are Middletown High School's 2007(Dominic Tenn,Andre Francis)and Rashaun Watson.Seniors Piere Simpson & Dustin Trail(East Hartford High),Charles Sims (Glastonbury)Josh Hodge (Hall) Alfonso Wilkerson(Plainville High) , Mark Micowski(Xavier) Demonte Holley(Vinal), Brandon Ruberti(Daniel Hand High)Danny Gonzalez leading scorer in the state. (East Windsor)Marquis Jackson, Jeron Belin, Big John Jenkins, and #3 guard in the state Rashemell Vereen (Maloney High). Upcoming Bulldog Players to watch soph. Chevar Rankins is playing football for Stoney Brook , Amari Spievey will play football for Iowa,Jerome Burton at Uconn studying crimial justice Stephen Faulkner  just transfered to california from Western . Tyrone Carr is studying crimial justice  Alondre Rush has signed to Central .Dustin Trail is attending Springfield U.  CT Mark Micowski is attending college in Vermont.Micheal Lundell is attending Nicholas studying business management. Andre Francis is attending Southern CT.Jeron Belin is at a Junior college in California. Dominic Tenn is attending Middlesex Community College.Keep up the good work fellas.
