Challenger games are on the Bubba Harding Inspirational Challenger field at 11 AM on Saturdays starting April 5th.

The Challenger division welcomes family members and players form other divisions to come out on Saturday mornings and help with their games.

Please print the Challenger registration form and bring it with you to the first game.

Juniors Division Registration Open

BCLL has opened registration for the Juniors Division. Registration will be open through Juniors skills evaluations currently scheduled for May 5th and 6th.

The Juniors Division is for league age 12 (not currently playing little league) through 15 and is played on the middle school sized field at BCLL, Rodney Watson Memorial Field 1.

Note that due to recently more stringently enforced boundary considerations, we will not be able to register any players who are in South Durham Little League's territory. We may not be able to register any players from outside our territory.

Players can qualify as in boundary by their home address or by the school they attend.

If you attend Brogden Middle School, Carrington Middle School, Lucas Middle School, Hawley Middle School, Butner-Stem Middle School, Riverside High School, Northern High School,  Southern Granville High School, or Bethesda Christian,  you are definitely in our territory and do not need to check. There are probably other schools in our territory so this list isn't complete.

If you would like to register and are unsure about your status within our boundaries, please email info@bullcitylittleleague.org with your home address  and the school you attend.

If you are interested in managing a team in this division or assistant coaching, please email pkgarcia3@aol.com to inquire. We are actively seeking 2 to 3 additional managers for this age group.

Due to little league restrictions, we are not able to accept 16 year olds for Juniors.

We accept registration via mail using the form below, via online registration (@ $7.18 credit card processing fee applies), and at walk-in registration at Juniors Skills Evaluations which are scheduled for May 5th and 6th.

BCLL Salutes Members of the 2007 11-12 State Champions and Other Distinguished Alumni

Last week, we posted an invitation to nominate former North Durham/Bull City players that have gone on to play college baseball for inclusion in a planned BCLL Hall of Fame.  (Please see posting below on this page.)  Although we are still seeking information, and the list is far from complete, we have identified many distinguished alumni of our league.

Just to name a few of our distinguished former players, Lee Land and Ryan Falcon, who played on NDLL's first State Championship team in 1997, played college baseball and were drafted by Major League Teams.  Lee played for Wake Forest and the University of Arkansas, and was later drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates and Oakland A's; Ryan played for UNC-Greensboro, and was later drafted by the Texas Rangers.  Jason Neighborgall played for Georgia Tech and was drafted by Boston Red Sox and the Arizona Diamondbacks.  Ben Ingold played at Wake Forest and was later drafted by the Oakland A's.  JD Alleva played for Duke and was later drafted by the Kansas City Royals.

Further, nine of the boys who played on the 11-12 State Championship team in 2007 have gone on to play college baseball, as described in this article written by former BCLL President Terry Snow:

CAN BULL CITY LITTLE LEAGUE PRODUCE HIGH QUALITY BASEBALL PLAYERS . . . ABSOLUTELY!!!

In 2007, North Durham Little League, our original name, fielded an 11-12 Major All Star Team. Everyone knew this team was special but did we really comprehend how special. These 11 players started playing at NDLL when there were 5 and 6 year olds. Back in the day, players had to tryout to even play at NDLL as only the best of the best played at North Durham. Tryouts were stressful and these boys desperately wanted the opportunity to play at such as prestigious little league and pursue their dreams of playing college baseball.

Second Row: Jake Kusz, Cameron Snow, Taylor King, Nick Debo, Andrew Toney. Back Row: Coaches Jeff Kusz, Chris Garrison, and Tony Debo. NDLL President Jon Baranosky. Coach Mark Sykes (not pictured).

These 11 players played in our highly competitive coach pitch league, Minor kid pitch division, and Majors division. Along the way, they received outstanding instruction from knowledgeable baseball coaches who were driven to teach the game of baseball the correct way…practice and play hard, practice and play with correct technique, always strive to be the best, respect the game, and play for your league and teammates. They also played on travel ball teams which were endorsed by NDLL.

BCLL Seeking Entrants for the BCLL Hall of Fame

Bull City Little League, once known as North Durham Little League, has hosted hundreds and hundred of players since its inception in 1987. Many BCLL players have gone on to play college baseball and beyond. BCLL would like to honor those players and their achievements.

We plan to create a Hall of Fame to honor players that have gone on to play college ball, to list when and where they played, and to list their team/conference/league honors and awards (e.g., conference freshman of the year, player of the week, etc.).

Please help us to create the BCLL Hall of Fame by forwarding to us the names and accomplishments of any former BCLL players that have played beyond their high school careers. Please also forward this email to anyone that you know of who may be able to help us to recognize and honor these players.

Please contact us at info@bullcitylittleleague.org.

Thank you for helping us to celebrate the players that have gone on from BCLL to have great success in the wonderful game of baseball.

BCLL Board of Directors for the 2014 Fiscal Year

BCLL's annual meeting was held Thursday evening, October 17th, at the Town & Country building across from the fields.  We had a great turnout of parents who were interested in learning more about the operation of the league and in contributing their talents to maintaining and improving BCLL.

Some existing members were elected to new positions, and several new members were elected to the Board.  We sincerely thank those persons who attended, we welcome our new Board members, and we particularly thank those individuals who have not joined the Board, but have agreed to assist the Board and to serve on Commitees to assist in the support and management of the league.

Our Latest Capital Improvement!

A beautiful night on the Challenger field!

Many thanks to Joe Berini and Tommy Lawrence Electrical for making this possible.

Bull City Little League now owns its baseball complex!

Thanks to the generous local community and the hard work of our members and our fundraising committee, BCLL was successful in raising the downpayment for purchasing the BCLL complex from the Town and Country Sportsmans Club.

BCLL has closed on the property and is now the proud owner of our own baseball complex!

We are one of a very few little leagues in North Carolina to own our own facility.

BCLL is now in a position to proceed with the Capital Campaign for expansion and field improvements and has already received a couple of generous donations in fiscal 2013 to get us started toward this goal.

We hope to have more news for you soon as we apply for grants for improvements.

As always, help is needed. If you have grant writing experience, know of available grants, or have other fundraising skills, please email fundraising@bullcitylittleleague.org to reach the fundraising committee so we can keep moving forward towards an even better Bull City Little League.
