Fall Shop Day a Success at DICK'S Sporting Goods

Our fall Shop Day at Dick's Sporting Goods Brier Creek store was a success, with 175 coupons being presented. BCLL-SDLL Split 2016 Mayor's Cup

It was another exciting Mayor's Cup Championship when BCLL hosted South Durham Little League on Friday, June 17th. For the second year in a row, the leagues split the championships. BCLL successfully defended the Majors championships, with the Rangers defeating the SDLL A's 9-2 to keep the cup at home. The BCLL Blue Jays also claimed the A Minors championship this year by defeating the SDLL Dodgers in a thrilling 11-10 victory that went down to the wire!

South Durham claimed two championships, with the Angels downing the BCLL Rockies 8-3 to take the AA Minors cup, and the Dodgers defeating the BCLL Marlines 7-4 to take home the AAA cup.

Thanks to everyone who came out to support all of the Bull City teams, to the volunteers who helped make Mayor's Cup a success, and to all winning teams. We'll see you all next year!

DICK'S Sporting Goods Coupins

DICK'S Sporting Goods Shop Day Was a Huge Success; New Coupons Available

Bull City Little League continues its partnership with DICK'S Sporting Goods' Brier Creek location in 2016. Over the last couple of years, this has been a great success as DICK'S has provided needed equipment and discounts on gear for our players and their families. We are happy to continue this into the new year!

Our spring Shop Day was held on Saturday, March 5th and was again a great success! Thank you to all of the BCLL families and friends that came out to support us and DICK'S Sporting Goods on Shop Day. BCLL player Connor Lloyd was the winner of a brand new training net, and Coach Chris Reinhard was the winner of a DICK's Sporting Goods gift certificate for his team having the most players in attendance. Congratulations to you both!

DICK'S Sporting Goods has also provided us with coupons good for most of 2016. You can download those here.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to DICK'S Sporting Goods for their continued support and sponsorship of Bull City Little League!

BCLL Spirit Night at Tijuana Flats

Thank you to everyone who came out to support BCLL for Spirit Night at Tijuana Flats on Monday, March 7th. We had a great turnout that resulted in a $200 donation to our league. Thank you to Tijuana Flats for hosting us!

2016 Volunteer/Returning Volunteer Applications

All parents who will be participating in any capacity at the fields this spring - whether coaching, assisting with practices, being team mom, working the concession stand, etc. - must complete a volunteer application form for Little League. Please bring these to your coach at the first practice. Background checks must be completed prior to anyone working with the kids.

If you have completed a volunteer application within the last year, please complete the returning volunteer application.

If you have not completed a volunteer application within the last year, please complete the new volunteer application.

Our league is run completely by volunteers, so it is critical that everyone complete a volunteer form. It helps keep our league running as well as keeping it a safe haven for our children! Thank you for your cooperation.

Sponsorship Opportunities With BCLL

Bull City Little League is seeking sponsors for the 2016 spring season. During the off season, we were hard at work putting together new sponsor packages and have come up with some exciting new opportunities! If you are interested in sponsoring us, or know a local business that might be interested, please take a look at and share our new opportunities. If you have questions about any of the opportunities, please don't hesitate to contact our fundraising VPs or anyone on the board. Thank you to everyone who helps us provide the wonderful opportunity of baseball and softball to the great kids in our community!

BCLL Board of Directors for the 2016 Fiscal Year

BCLL's annual meeting was held Thursday evening, October 22nd, at the Town & Country building across from the fields.  We had a great turnout of parents who were interested in learning more about the operation of the league and in contributing their talents to maintaining and improving BCLL.

Some existing members were elected to new positions, and several new members were elected to the Board.  We sincerely thank those persons who attended, we welcome our new Board members, and we particularly thank those individuals who have not joined the Board, but have agreed to assist the Board and to serve on Commitees to assist in the support and management of the league.

All-Stars Recap: 8/9s Finish as State Runner-up; 9/10s Finish 3rd in State

The All-Star season has come to an end, with the exception of the 5/6 team that plays this weekend at BCLL. Bull City had a strong showing in postseason tournaments, sending their 8/9 and 9/10 teams to state tournaments.

The 8/9s finished runner-up in district play and advanced to the state tournament since District 6 was the host. They made a strong run in states, finishing runner-up to unbeaten Weddington National.

The 9/10s won the District 6 title and had a good showing in states as well. They fell twice to Greenville's North State team, and finished 3rd in the state.

The 7/8, 10/11 and 11/12 baseball teams and the 9/10 softball team represented BCLL well in district tournament play but fell short of advancing to the state tournaments. The 7/8s went 5-1 to finish 3rd in district play; the 10/11s went 2-2 and finished runner-up to Wilson; and the 11/12s went 2-2, finishing 3rd in the district. The 9/10 girls played Roxboro and Wilmington hard and close before losing both games in district play. They showed everyone that BCLL is a new force to be reckoned with in softball.

We are proud of all of our All-Star teams and look forward to cheering on the 5/6s in their tournament this weekend!

Mayors Cup DBacks Mayors Cup White Sox

BCLL-SDLL Split in Mayor's Cup

BCLL and SDLL split the Mayor's Cup this year, with each league winning two games. The Majors DBacks and AAA National White Sox brought trophies home with wins over their SDLL counterparts. The AAA American Braves and Machine Pitch Angels both played hard but fell short.

We congratulate the players and coaches of all four teams for representing BCLL in the Mayor's Cup Championship.
