Police bring Meadhaven back to earth
Meadhaven United were brought down to earth yesterday by Police National at Barbican, beaten 1-0 in the KSAFA Super League. Both teams were meeting for the first time since last season's Major League final, which the lawmen won.
In another game, August Town lost 1-0 away to Maverley, a result which sees Santos taking over sole leadership of the competition following a 1-0 win over Mountain View.
Jamaica Defence Force, second on goal difference, join Santos and Police National atop the standings after beating Shortwood 2-0 at Up Park Camp. All three teams are on 14 points.
Today's biggest winners were Bull Bay, who blanked Barbican, 3-0, at Bull Pen. Rae Town and Greenwich Town played to 1-1 tie. In the Major League, leaders Duhaney Park beat Central KIngston 2-0 at Winchester Park. Pembroke Hall were also succesful on the road, beating Molynes 2-1 at Jamitel.
