Five games to kick-start KSAFA Super League
THE JNBS Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Super League kicks of today with a full roster of matches.
Last season's top teams, Santos and Boys' Town, will be in action against Mountain View and Olympic Gardens, respectively.
Santos, who carried the hopes of KSAFA for promotion to the National Premier League (NPL), failed to advance as they were eliminated in the national play-offs, but will certainly be one of the favourites to do so on this occasion.
Star Cosmos of St Mary and Invaders from Trelawny switched places with Bull Bay and Wadadah and are now competing in the NPL.
Today's games: Santos vs Mountain View at Bell-Chung Sports Complex; Boys' Town vs Olympic Gardens at NWC playfield; Bull Bay vs Barbican at Bull Pen; Duhaney Park vs Real Mona at Duhaney Park and JDF vs Maverley at Up Park Camp.
All matches start at 3:30 pm.
Meanwhile, the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) all-island under-13 and under-15 leagues will begin today as well.
At 2:00 pm KSAFA A face Portland at Winchester Park; St Ann host KSAFA B at Addison Park and St Catherine are at home to St James at the Spanish Prison Oval. At 1:00 pm Westmoreland will meet Clarendon at Frome or Llandilo.
