HOT Wings Junior Developmental Program

The NEXT HOT Wings practice is Monday, July 13th, 6-7 PM @ Buffalo State College (BSC) on the practice fields at Rockwell Road and Rees Street. (Get-A-Map!)

Parents ... if you can, please stay at the practice site. That way, if the weather ever turns bad, players can retreat to the vehicles.  Remember, the fields do not have any type of coverage for inclement weather.

Special Tip from Coach Ohtake:
One of the most common injuries in Lacrosse is the ankle sprain. A simple sprain will have you miss about a week of normal practices. A bad sprain will lose your season and may require surgery. A few of the players are using braces of varying qualities.

Coach Ohtake recommends the McDavid 199 (LINK) lace up brace for anyone who has had an injury or wants to prevent having an injury. These braces can be purchased locally at Medco Supply Company. (LINK)

A brace, like any other preventative/protective and rehab equipment, is only good if worn properly. If players or parents have any questions about ways to help prevent potential injuries, be sure to connect with Coach Ohtake.
