2010 Membership Registration Underway 
The Buffalo Wings Lacrosse Club coaches and staff are very excited about our upcoming 2010 season. 

Girls entering Grades 6-12 are eligible to sign-up for the Buffalo Wings 2010 Program.  Buffalo Wings Lacrosse is a girl’s travel lacrosse club. Players participate in practices and have the opportunity to sign up for and play in summer and fall, regional and national tournaments.

An introductory program designed for girls entering grades 3-7 who are interested in learning the sport of lacrosse, new to the sport and have no lacrosse experience or very limited lacrosse skills.

Through “Hot Wings” players will:

• Learn to play lacrosse by developing a solid foundation in basic lacrosse skills and rules.
• Enhance their skill level through expert instruction.
• Build a solid foundation that will help girls prepare for their school’s lacrosse team.

** All players must provide their own stick, cage goggles, and colored mouth guard.

Special Tip from Coach Ohtake:
One of the most common injuries in Lacrosse is the ankle sprain. A simple sprain will have you miss about a week of normal practices. A bad sprain will lose your season and may require surgery. A few of the players are using braces of varying qualities.

Coach Ohtake recommends the McDavid 199 (LINK) lace up brace for anyone who has had an injury or wants to prevent having an injury. These braces can be purchased locally at Medco Supply Company. (LINK)

A brace, like any other preventative/protective and rehab equipment, is only good if worn properly. If players or parents have any questions about ways to help prevent potential injuries, be sure to connect with Coach Ohtake.
