Renny is the Youngest Buffalo Babe. She won the San Juan District middle school 7th grade 1600 meter race with a time of 5:39. She was racing 'up' at the time (still in 6th grade). Now a 7th grader, she is being lightly trained but still trying to get a few races in this season. At her first cross country race ever at the Lagoon Valley Classic, she was #2 all time on the middle school 1.5 mile course with a time of 9:40. (The record is held by Youth Girls Buffalo Babe Allison Klas.) In her next race she tried her luck vs. high school competition and won the Rocklin Thunder Frosh/Soph race by about five seconds. Next time out vs. middle schoolers only, she beat 48 of the 50 boys and all the girls to win at Riverview Park in Marysville. In her most recent race, Renny battled fellow Youth Chip Ellie Velez for 1.75 hard miles, but Renny's kick got her the win in meet record time (10:59).
Renny is just having fun this season and so far thinks cross country is a pretty neat sport. She also plays midfield on a select soccer team and does summer swim. Ren has a sister Cali, mom Debbie, dad Gil, and very supportive grandparents Ed and Beth.
