GUSTY & GUTSY - Ellie and Fiona battle with youth National Champion Christine Bayliss and Brooke Starn at 3000 meters.
In relentless wind, Fiona takes 2nd with a time of 10:39.05, 5:36 mile to start, Laps 5-7 were 87/86/87. 10:39.05 converts to 11:25 3200m, which would have been 2nd in Day 3200 and 11th in the Night 3200 at the High School Meet of Champions. National champ Christine Bayliss was 1st, Fiona 2nd, Brooke Starn 3rd, Ellie 4th with a time of 11:10.41 conveting to 11:59 3200m. Anything under 12 is superb for middle school... great job Ellie.

How exciting! The two newest Buffalo Babes score meet records! Kristi in the 800, Alayna in the 1600.
Kristi's time would have been 3rd in the Varsity 800, Alayna would have won the Varsity 1600, Sarah and Erica would have won the Frosh/Soph 800. Alayna and Kristi gave us a thrill in the 800 stretch run as did Erica who surrendered the lead at 200m, but roared back with 100m to go. Sarah stayed below 2:50 and 6:00 on a tough day...a fine accomplishment. see times below

After a so-so 1600 and a brilliant individual effort in the 800, the HS girls put on a spectacular 3200 race with many PR's. Karlie, Becky, and Mackenzie would be a worthy trio to send to the state meet with those times, although everyone's going to drop even more. Great Mackenzie vs. Becky stretch battle (23 sec PR for Mackenzie) and Jerriann and Brookie were even tighter .73 to .77, Thanks for the exciting race to every BB, to all who PR'd, and to Karlie for that exciting 10:50.
In the middle school 800, Miranda - who didn't even know she was racing when she woke up this morning - broke the meet record by exactly 3 seconds in her win. (2:27.31). Maybe that's the secret! Samantha was awesome in the 800 w a 9 second season best and good job to Maxine and Haley who medaled in the 1600 - although Max wanted sub 5:10... she'll be there soon. Sydney shaved four seconds off her 800 in one week....that's trending in the right direction!..Get well soon to Kelsea and Brenley who are under the weather.

u BABES / GALT H.S. take 3rd in 4x800 at State Indoor Track Champs

Kelsea, Megan, Hannah, and Jerriann (with a gutsy kick) move from 4th to 3rd in final 150 yds, medal in a photo finish
Poor Kelsea - and every other Leg 1 runner - had to run an extra lap because they miscounted

Mackenzie Mills is 5th in One Mile run - 5:22. Seeded 11th, she places 5th with a new PR!! (5:20.23c), She's for real.
Jerriann Wells is 4th/5th... we're not sure - in the 2 mile - Everybody - coaches, runners, officials - lost track of laps. goofy, but a real nice race
Kelsea Tiapon bravely faces the Speed Queens; makes a nice effort in the 600 yard race... leaves town with 1 medal :)
