Welcome to buffalobabes.net
The BUFFALO BABES are a part of the Buffalo Chips Running Club / Youth Chips. Each year since 2000, many of the best high school distance runners in the Sac-Joaquin Section - and the nearby region - have been invited to join the Buffalo Babes and run as teams around the nation at Junior Olympics, Foot Locker West, and other meets. Recently, the Buffalo Babes have also begun to prepare some of the top middle school girls in the Sacramento area for high school running. The Babes have won 18 National Titles and have dozens of All-Americans.

We took all the best jr. high times we could find from http://www.athletic.net/ & http://www.eliteyouth.com/ and compiled these rankings:
1600m: 1st FIONA, 2nd KENDALL 3rd KAITLIN, 22nd BRIANA, 24th SARAH
1500m: 1st MAGGIE, 3rd FIONA, 7th KENDALL, 13th KAITLIN
800m: 1st MAGGIE, 3rd FIONA, 10th KENDALL, 30th KAITLIN
Not too bad - Babes are 1-2-3 in the USA so far for submitted 1600m rankings.
Maggie is still #1 in both the 800m and the 1600m. Fiona is Top 3 in all of them.
Kendall is Top 10 in all of them. Kaitlin is Top 30 in all of them.
---Maggie would also be 22nd in the country at 400 meters with that 59.95 from the Cal All-Comers meet.

FIONA battles the wind and very little warmup and still gets a 10.:39.97 in the 3000m (11:27 3200m conv.)
SCHOOL MEETS - Week of Apr 29
SUNDAY -FIONA sets PAL mile record - 5:17.1 (76, 80, 81.5, 79.7) - She broke her own record from last year by 5 seconds.
FIONA also gets a PINK time in the 400 - 63.4 440 yd dash = 63.03 converted. ERICA with SB's in 3 different races.
ERICA logs 6:27 for the mile, 78 in the 440, and 36.9 for the 220. Stay Strong, Erica!
TUESDAY - SJ EAST TRIALS - KENDALL and KAITLIN both under old league record time again...5:20.39 and 5:24.94
K and K 2:29/2:31 in the 800m; also qualifed for finals in the HJ and 4x400 relay.
PAIGE wins 7th grade in 6:18 but will be challenged in finals by 3 good runners from the East -- Good Luck!
WEDNESDAY - FOLSOM/EDH FINALS - ALAYNA, BRIANA, SARAH, and JOE
6th grader JOE wins the 7th grade 1600m with great stretch back and forth kick, 2nd in the 800
BRIANA wins 8th grade 1600 and 800
SARAH wins 7th grade 1600 and 800... awesome job!
ALAYNA - after all that missed time - still gets 2nd in the 1600 and 3rd in the 800
FRIDAY - SJ WEST TRIALS - KRISTI wins 400m in 62.81 and 800m in 2:34.86
