The BUFFALO BABES are a part of the Buffalo Chips Running Club / Youth Chips. Each year since 2000, many of the best high school distance runners in the Sac-Joaquin Section - and the nearby region - have been invited to join the Buffalo Babes and run as teams around the nation at Junior Olympics, Foot Locker West, and other meets. Recently, the Buffalo Babes have also begun to prepare some of the top middle school girls in the Sacramento area for high school running. HS girls advance to Masters Finals next Friday night. 14 of the 24 girls in the 3200m are Buffalo Babes, 14 of the 27 milers are BB’s, 4 of the 24 girls in the 800m.

2013 BB JUNIOR HIGH Track Info
Izzy got the meet off to a super start with a 10:47 3000 in the first race of the day (1st place) … 80, 89, 89, 85, 88, 89.5 88, 38.7, 5:43 first mile. Tori F PR’d with a sub 12 – 3000. After a marathon wait, Izzy had another PR in the 800 and Tori F and Erica ran excellent 800’s with major PR’s. Tori F went gold time, barely (.03) and Erica just missed silver (.09). Tori K gave us all a good dose of her footspeed with a quick 72.5 400m. And Izzy wowed the crowd again with an outstanding battle vs. Jaxin Woodward in the 1500. Izzy’s 5:00 is about 10 seconds away from the Midget girls PA record held by Christine Bayliss, and she's at the bottom of the age group. Youth National Champ Julia Bounds won the Youth Girls 1500m and 3000m easily.
After a loooong layoff, Isabella D took 4th place in the 1500. 5:12 is spectacular for missing so much time. Hallie and Isabella F PR'd since they had never raced the 1500 before. Isabella F ran down some folks to take 2nd place with a super 800 (2:32.8). She also ventured into the 300m low hurdles (a high school event) and did remarkably well with no spills!
