Profile: Bill started his baseball career with the Lufkin Youth Baseball program. He was a stand out on the 1st World Series Champion Team from Lufkin with the Pony League All Stars in 1957. He continued his championship reign on the 1959 Pony Grad World Series Champion Team.
As Bill's High School Baseball Careet Progressed, he played 2nd base on 2 State Tournament Teams and still holds the Title of Most Hits in a State Tournament.
After graduating from Lufkin High School, he continued his baseball skills at Sam Houston University. At Sam Houston, Bill had a memorable performance as a great college player.
Bill was instrumental in getting the Huntington Baseball program started and continued to coach for several years in Huntington before going to Angelina College. He retired from coaching after 20 years of quality coaching at Angelina College. He had several players that through his program continued on to professional baseball careers.
