Buchholz Lady Cats: Sponsors Donors & Patrons

Rebecca Williams

Dear Players, Parents, and Contributing Sponsors and fans,

Here at Buchholz High School, we have a tradition of excellence that we work hard to maintain.  We take the business of molding our students to become successful citizens very seriously and each one of them are involved in this process.  Buchholz continues to be ranked among the top 75 schools in the nation for academics among public high schools. We are also the top advanced high school in Alachua County and also a State School.  Our School is known as one of the top athletic schools in the state in boys and girls athletics.   As Head Coach of the Womens Basketball Program for the fifth year at Buchholz, I have set a goal to build a program that is consistently recognized as one of the best in the state both athletically and academically.  Our goal is to teach our ladies how to be successful while showing class, both on the court and in everyday life. Throughout the program, we teach togetherness and respect and if you learn those two things you will be successful in whatever life brings to you.

Our ladies have worked very hard on and off the court to reach our collective team goals and their personal academic goals.  As their coach I know this is not an easy task as the demands of school, sports, and life, are great.  We teach with anything that takes effort to achieve, the victory is certainly worth the cost.

We have had great teams and players come through Buchholz High School in the past years. This year, we have a great group of girls who are working hard and striving to reach the highest goal in high school basketball, the State Championship. As with all of our team and individual goals, its going to take the program as a whole to turn those goals into reality.   Thanks to all of you for your involvement in Buchholz Womens Basketball and the lives of these young ladies. Your Support is truly appreciated.
