Talktime Speech Therapy is an established private practice in speech therapy with over 5 years of experience in providing quality speech and language therapy to children of all ages.  We have a continuously growing staff of outstanding, certified and licensed Speech Language Pathologists in 2 offices - Beaver Falls (Chippewa Township) and Cranberry Township.

We now offer Adult Speech Therapy Services on a case by case basis as well as Hearing Screenings.

  • Treatment of delays/disorders including, but not limited to:
    • Childhood Apraxia of Speech:  a neurological childhood (pediatric) speech sound disorder in which the precision and consistency of movements underlying speech are impaired in the absence of neuromuscular deficits (e.g., abnormal reflexes, abnormal tone).  The core impairment is in the programming of the speech musculature resulting in speech sound production errors as well as errors in the prosody of speech
    • Articulation: ability to correctly produce speech sounds to form words (i.e. speech intelligibility)
    • Phonology:  how speech sounds are organized and used in language 
    • Receptive Language: understanding what is spoken or written (e.g. following directions)
    • Expressive Language: ability to use words in order to express wants/needs (e.g. vocabulary, grammar)
    • Pragmatic Language:  understanding and using the rules of social language
    • Fluency: speaking without hesitations or repetitions (e.g. stuttering or cluttering)
    • Voice: speaking in a pleasant voice without shouting or sounding hoarse, breathy, etc.
    • Phonological Awareness: an early reading skill related to the awareness of the sounds in words (e.g. rhyming, segmenting words into sounds)
    • Dysphagia: swallowing difficulties related to food texture/temperature issues and/or choking when eating or drinking

Learning does not begin in kindergarten, it begins at birth. Children are most receptive to learning during the toddler and preschool years. Giving children the freedom to make choices encourages independence. Teachers will carefully choose developmentally appropriate activities that will stimulate children's imaginations and creativity that will foster skills that will take them through-out their lives. Teachers and children will explore activities together that will enhance motor, cognitive and social skills.

Mission Statement

The management and staff at Pitter Patter Place Childcare are dedicated to the care and early education of children; where children can learn through play. Children will be able to work individually and cooperatively with their peers and with adults. Children are given the opportunity to eat high quality, healthy food that is made in house from fresh whole some ingredients. Our goal is to have children who work well with others, prepare the children to be future leaders and who will enjoy learning. When parents trust their caregivers they can leave them in peace so they can do whatever they need to do.
