BRYC Condors: Welcome

Welcome
Welcome to BRYC Condors, National Capitol Soccer League, U-19 Division 1 Boys Team, in Fairfax County, Virginia.

The Condors are trained full time by former Manchester City player, Ghana national team player and 7 time State Cup winning coach, Harry Opoku. Dozens of Harry’s past players have enjoyed successful college careers and some professional careers. The Condors are also coached by USSF nationally licensed coach Andrew Mathis.  The Condors have steadily risen through the ranks of NCSL, starting in Division 6 and now in Division 1.  This rise is completely attributed to steadfast player development  as opposed to the aggressive recruiting programs commonly seen in NCSL Div 1 and Region 1 teams.  Our team philosophy and coaching philosophy has always been to develop the players so that the players agenda is served as opposed to running the team as a vehicle for the coach’s agenda.

We provide an environment that encourages players to achieve excellence and improve their own game to the highest possible level. We stress an attacking oriented possession game more typical of a European youth side. When the Condors play in a tournament, people that know the game tend to stop and watch us play because we play the game the way it is meant to be played. We are committed to giving our players the opportunity to play in college. We believe that it is important for players to learn to play with styleand knowledge of the game so that the player can develop properly and will be successful at the next level.   The Condors offer professional goalkeeper training with Simon Addo, former professional and Ghana National Team Goalkeeper.  The Condors will participate in several College Showcase tournaments in Summer and Fall of 2007 and Coach Harry will make college coach introductions for interested players.
