| The BYFA board would like to thank all the participants in this year’s season as well as the coaches and parents. Without your support, this league would not be still going strong for the last 48 years. As a parent, you take on many responsibilities; coach, cheerleader, chauffeur, and even doctor. Thank you for doing all that so your child can play football. Have you ever wondered who makes this league run and makes everything happen? The answer to that question is people just like you! The BYFA board is made up of parents, former parents, or people who just love football. It is a group of people who want to make this experience for your player the best it can be. It takes many different skill sets to keep this league moving forward each year. The board is constantly trying to find the best solution for improving the league. Do you want to be part of that solution? The makeup of the board changes year to year with an election each January. Do you need to be a football fanatic and know the game inside and out? NOT AT ALL!! As we said above, it takes many skill sets to make this league what it is. Are you an organizer, marketer, computer programmer, business person, or even a football coach? BYFA wants and needs all these skills and more. Are you willing to commit your time and energy to an organization that serves the young people of Broomfield and surrounding areas? The BYFA board convenes once a month with break off committees that meet as needed. As part of the board, you will be involved in many BYFA activities helping promote and enhance the league. If you are interested in becoming part of the BYFA board, contact any of the current board members. All their emails are on www.byfa.com. Please come to the January BYFA board meeting when the board elections are held for the upcoming calendar year. Currently for this upcoming year, there are five openings. You are encouraged to attend the BYFA meetings which are held the first Monday of the month and are open to the public. Even if being on the board is not the choice you want, you can be part of any committee you wish. You do not need to be a board member to be involved, this is your organization.
