Queens Falcons Football
The Queens Falcons Football aka Forest Hills Falcons offer their deepest condolences to Ed James' Family and Brooklyn Skyhawk Family. Ed James had a profound impact on thousands of young people and he will be sorely missed by all. Ed is a Great man and we know he is in a better place. Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen

Hello: I am a college professor in Upstate NY and I'm on a mission. I assigned a speech last week where my students chose a person in their life to "celebrate". One of my students (Trent Russell, a former Skyhawk) chose a coach, Keith Moore. It was one of the most moving tributes I've ever heard. I know Mr. Moore doesn't coach in Brooklyn any more....but does anyone know how I can find him? I would love to find a way to reunite these two or at the very least send him a copy of what Trent has written. I think Mr. Moore would be shocked at the incredible influence he had. Please help! We only have a few weeks left of the class. Sincerely, Gina Greco (Faculty HVCC)

Hello, I played for the skyhawks in the early eighties, the skyhawks taught me teamwork, discipline and the love for the game of football. The Skyhawks also taught me about giving back and helping young men become responsible and committed to goals to achieve excellence. I have since left Brooklyn and currently live in Maitland Florida outside of Orlando, due to those values that I participated in with the Skyhawks, I started coaching youth football for the Winter Park Tigers, I have become the football commissioner for the organization since 2005 and have approx. 190 youth football players in our organization. I believe that if it wasn't for my time playing with the Skyhawks, I would not be involved with youth today. Please visit our website www.winterparkpopwarner.com, and thank you all Skyhawks for keeping the organization alive. Thank You Ken Hodges Commissioner Winter Park Tigers Pop Warner

Congrats on 31 years Skyhawks. I played from 87 to 90 last years of the great Coach Tex. Since then played for Indian State Sycamores (D-IAA, the New York City Hawks (Arena). Now coach high school football in ATL. The Skyhawks were crucial to my development as a teenager into a young man. Thanks for the memories. Nga Warren
