Pitbull Collage
About Our Program
Youth sports while being competitive should also be a fun experience for the coaches as well as the players. It should also be a progressive learning experience, as many of the youth do dream of someday becoming a High School, College, or even a professional athlete. The objective of this program is to keep the youth away from the streets and in school, while giving them a venue to maybe someday obtain those goals. Our football program is a community based organization with the objective of focusing on the developmental needs of the children served. While in the program, children’s developmental needs will be met by the staff. Our program strives for more of the characteristics of the everyday world. The key to our program is to provide discipline, accountability, and responsibility. Most importantly, the program is designed to emphasize and promote a positive self-concept in each child.

The Brooklyn Pitbulls Youth Football Program is a Non-Profit 501(c)3 Tax Exempt Organization. The purpose of this program is to mainly teach and encourage children through a quality, developmentally appropriate program.

We are located in Brooklyn and we service a vast area, but mainly Fort Greene and the Clinton Hills area.  The program provides an atmosphere for growth and development via a team approach.

Governing Body
The program is funded by donations from sponsors that believe in our program and is sponsored by a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is responsible for the general management of the program. The program staff is directly responsible for the program and care of the children.
Enrollment is based on the availability of space and children meeting the weight and age criteria. Acceptances are made on a first come, first served basis to an extent.  Children must display a desire to be in the program and not being forced to play by a parent or guardian.  Being in our program should be an enjoyable experience, not a feeling that it is a task to be in it.  If we see signs that that may be the case, registration for participation in the program may not be accepted.

Cost & Fees

The programs’s operating budget is supplemented by parent donations. In order to maintain good quality service, parents are required to aid in fundraising events. We do not want financial difficulties to hinder any player from participating in our program, so we do offer hardship scholarships to those families fitting the eligibility criteria.

The program is designed to provide the best possible stimulating environment. The environment is stable and reliable. The program provides a structured and disciplined environment for developing the children into the best student athlete possible. That is, physically, socially, cognitively, and emotionally.
