 Mariners upset the 9-1 Warriors in Baltimore

In a monsoon, the Mariners went to a muddy field in the pooring rain in Baltimore and had one big offensive play, and one big defensive safety to hold on in a 10-6 slugfest. Next for the Mariners, the Final Four and a chance to avenge a loss to the NJ Buccaneers.

 

Mariners squeek by the Battle 23-21 to advance

The Mariners got back to basics and running the football. After an early defensive demise, the M's tightened it up and survived a late rush by the wild cat running Battle. Next up, round 2.

 

Mariners blown out 44-12 by the NJ Bucs

Another bad show for the M's who fell to 8-2 with the loss. The Bucs dominated the game from start to finish in all aspects of the game. Next up, the M's have to regroup for round one of the RAFL Playoffs vs. the NJ Battle. 

 

Mariners become the prey as they fall to the Predators 36-13

The Mariners came into the game with high confidence, and were slammed hard by a passing offense and solid defense as the Predators took them down 

 

Mariners Crown the Monarchs 26-0 to go to 8-0

 The Mariners simply did what they've done all season. They controled the tempo of the game from the first snap until the final whistle with a physically dominating performance over the Prince William Monarchs to secure the 26-0 victory. Next up for the Mariners, a home game with the NY Predators in a rematch of last years RAFL northern final. Kickoff time is 4:30 at Kings Bay Field in Brooklyn. It will also be Mariner Alumni Day with many former M's and friends attending.  

Mariners Bury NEPA in 31-6 Blowout to go 7-0

The Mariners came out a little sloppy in the first quarter, but recovered well and continued thier dominance in 2009 with the 31-6 victory. Powered by an offensive line that has pushed the Mariners to over a 200 Rushing YPG average, The Mariners wore out the Miners all night. The M's defense put forth its usual effort as well, shutting down NEPA all night. Next up for the M's, the Prince William (VA) Monarchs come up to the bay for a rumble on Saturday September 12th.

 

 Mariners take the fight out of the Battle in 38-6 thrashing to go 6-0

The Mariners came out and struck early and hit an opening play, a double pass thrown by #85 Sandiford Joseph for 68 yards leading to the opening score  three minutes into the game capped by Josephs running Touchdown setting the tempo in a dominating performance for a 38-6 victory. The Mariners racked up over 400 yards in total offense and held possetion for over 40 minutes in the game.  #29 Raheem Ridley again ran up and down field for over 140 yards and a touchdown. Next up for the M's, a trip to PA for a date with the NEPA Miners.

 

Mariners Clip Blackhawks wings 38-14 and run to 5-0

The Mariners again ran for  days against the Blackhawks to a 38 14 victory. Powered by Raheem Ridley (114 Yards) and a solid offensive line, the Mariners controled the tempo and jumped out to a 30-6 halftime lead. The Mariners next take on the 5-1 New Jersey Battle.

Mariners Trounce Seahawks 48-14 to push to 4-0

The Mariners came out and rushed and passed at will to push to a 40-6 halftime lead in route to a 48-14 victory over the Seahawks. The M's ran for close to 300 yards in the mauling. Next up for the Mariners....rematch with the KC Blackhawks. The game is 7pm Saturday at Kings Bay field in Brooklyn.

 

Mariners edge Rival Wolves 16-13

The Mariners pushed thier record to 3-0 by outlasting the NJ Wolves in a game in which the Mariners left mnay points off the board and gave the Wolves opportunities with turnovers and untimely penalties. But a 75 yard 2nd half rusing performance by Raheem Ridley helped the M's control the flow of the second half and secure the victory.

 

Mariners Trample Blackhawks 38-0

The Mariners shot themselves in the foot as many times as possible in the early going, but still were able to control the 38-0 victory over the Blackhawks.

 

Mariners win season Opener 38-0 Over the L.I. Seahawks

In a dominating performance, the Mariners scored on thier first 5 drives of the game to leave no doubt in the 38-0 thrashing or thier division rival Seahawks. The Mariners accumulated over 270 yards on the ground and added over another 140 and 2 Td's in the air. Next up for the M's.... the Kings County Blackhawks

 

 

The Brooklyn Mariners were founded in 1957 by legendary Coach Pudgie Walsh. The expressed purpose of our organizations was, is, and will always be to play football at the highest level possible. Over 52 seasons the Mariners have won over 500 games, lost only 92, and have tied in 12. No other team in the semi-pro ranks has a better winning record in the country.

 The Mariners are proud members of the Regional American Football League which was founded in 2007. The Mariners have won 12 consecutive league championships starting with running the table in the GSFL (11 years) and now having won in thier first season in the RAFL. The Mariners finished thier 2008 Championship run with 4 consecutive road playoff victories, including wins over the previously undefeated NY Predators, and up ending former defending Champion Prince William Monarchs 20-0 in Atlantic Bowl II. Over the years, the Mariners have traveled to compete in national Tournaments against teams in Seattle, Wisconsin, Maine, Washington D.C., Louisiana, Florida, Minnesotta, and Canada. The Mariner goal is always to win the National Championship, which has been accomplished 4 times in the last 18 years.
