BRAX FUND RAISER 2012

THE BRONX RAVENS YOUTH TACKLE FOOTBALL PROGRAM HAS NOT TAKEN ANYONES MONEY WHEN IT COMES TO THIS FUND RAISER. THE PROBLEM WITH THIS FUND RAISER WAS  THAT THERE WERE MULTIPLE DEADLINES SET AND THOSE PARTICIPATING DIDNT MEET THEIR DEADLINES AS SET. THE DEADLINE HAD TO BE RESET 4 TIMES DURING THE PROCESS AND ONLY A SMALL AMOUNT OF PEOPLE PARTICIPATED.

SOME PARENTS WHO TURNED IN EARLIER THEN OTHERS EXPECTED TO RECEIVE THEIR ORDER BEFORE OTHERS AND IT CAN NOT WORK THAT WAY DUE TO THE GUIDELINES SET BY THE FUND RAISING COMPANY. AFTER THEY WERE ORDERED ITS 4-6 WEEKS TO RECEIVE. DUE TO THE ORDER BEING TURNED IN LATER THAN IT WAS ORIGINALLY SET IT CAUSED THE CUPS TO COME IN LATER THEN ORIGINALLY SET. TO APPEASE THOSE WHO RECEIVED COMPLAINTS FROM IMPATIENT CO WORKERS OR LETTING THE CO WORKERS KNOW THEY SUBMITTED IT IN LATE THEY REQUESTED REFUNDS. WE CANCELLED THE ORDER AND STARTED TO DISTRIBUTE REFUNDS. THE NEXT PROBLEM WE HAD WAS THAT THOSE PARENTS WHO WERE PATIENT AND DIDN'T COMPLAIN STILL WANTED THEIR CUPS. WE DISTRIBUTED THE REFUNDS AND THEN HAD TO PLACE THE ORDER AGAIN FOR THOSE WHO WANTED THE CUPS AND NOT A REFUND. THEY HAD NO PROBLEM WAITING FOR THEIR CUPS AND EITHER DID THE PEOPLE THEY SOLD THEM TO. CURRENTLY THE CUPS ARE IN AND READY TO DISTRIBUTE AND SOME PEOPLE HAVE STARTED TO PICK UP THEIR CUPS.

IN GOOD FAITH WE OFFERED RAFFLES TO THE SITES WHO HAD ISSUES SO THERE CO WORKERS COULD PARTICIPATE IN A RAFFLE TO WIN NY GIANTS PRE SEASON TICKETS FOR THE 2013 SEASON AS A WAY TO MAKE IT UP TO THEM AND SHOW THEM THAT WE AS AN ORGANIZATION APPRECIATED THEIR SUPPORT AND PATIENCE IN THIS MATTER.

THE ONE THING THAT PEOPLE MUST REALIZE IS THAT DEADLINES ARE SET UP FOR A REASON AND WHEN YOU DON'T MEET THE DEADLINE IT AFFECTS EVERYONE INVOLVED INCLUDING THE HOST ORGANIZATION TRYING TO HAVE EVERYTHING IN ORDER FOR OUR PLAYERS. THIS WAS A MAJOR ISSUE THIS SEASON WITH FOLKS NOT MEETING DEADLINES CONTINUOSLY. MOVING FORWARD THE ORGANIZATION HAS MADE A LOT OF CHANGES TO ASSURE OUR PLAYERS AND PARENTS OF A SMOOTHER OPERATION WITH MINIMAL TO NO ISSUES BUT, PEOPLE MUST ALSO REALIZE THAT IT STARTS WITH THEM AND WHEN THEY DON'T MEET THEIR DEADLINES HOW IT AFFECTS ALL OF THOSE INVOLVED IN THE PROGRAM.

SO WE AS AN ORGANIZATION APOLOGIZE TO ANYONE WHO WAS INCONVENIENCED. WE HOPE THAT THE ADJUSTMENTS MADE HAS HELPED EVERYONE GET WHAT THEY ORDERED AND NEEDED. MOVING FORWARD WE ARE LOOKING AT NEW WAYS TO RAISE FUNDS WITHOUT HAVING TO DEPEND ON OTHERS TO CONTRIBUTE BECAUSE THE LACK OF PARTICIPATION HAS  ALSO HURT THE YOUTH WE SERVE. HARD ROCK CAFE YANKEE STADIUM WILL BE THE SITE OF THE 1ST ANNUAL BRONX RAVENS AWARDS BRUNCH

THE BRONX RAVENS IN ASSOCIATION WITH THEIR SPONSOR THE HARD ROCK CAFE @ YANKEE STADIUM WILL HOST THEIR FIRST ANNUAL SPORTS BANQUET @ THE HARD ROCK CAFE @ YANKEE STADIUM ON FEBRUARY 5, 2012 FROM 9AM TO 12 NOON.

THERE WILL BE DIGNITARIES, SPONSORS, AND QUEST SPEAKERS ATTENDING THIS EVENT.

THE COST IS $25 PER PERSON. THIS IS THE COST FOR PLAYERS AND PARENTS ALIKE. ALL PAYMENTS SHOULD BE MADE PAYABLE TO SBYC INC AND MUST BE PAID IN FULL BY JANUARY 16, 2012.

TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE YOU MUST HAVE ALL YOUR ANNUAL FEES PAID, ANY OUTSTANDING BALANCES PAID, AND ALL EQUIPMENT TURNED IN TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS GREAT EVENT.

THE PROGRAM IS RECEIVING HIGH REQUEST FOR NEW PLAYER REGISTRATIONS SO PLEASE ACT QUICKLY AND SWIFTLY. AFTER THAT IT WILL BE ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.
