2009 Spring Challenger Division Registrations

Welcome to the 3rd year of the Basking Ridge Little League Challenger Division

 The Challenger Division of Little League Baseball is a program for special needs children who want to enjoy the full benefits of Little League participation in an athletic environment structured to their abilities. The Challenger Division was originally developed in 1989 and is Little League’s Baseball way of providing boys and girls with special needs the opportunity to experience the emotional development and the fun of playing Little League baseball.  Today, more than 22,000 players participate in the Little League Challenger Division nationwide.  This program enables children the opportunity to participate in a structured athletic program regardless of their ability.  

REGISTRATION OPEN NOW

Registration for the 2009 Basking Ridge Little League Challenger Spring Season will be from open through March 1, 2009.   Registration forms may be downloaded by going to www.brll.org and clicking on the "Forms" tab on the left.  Completed registration forms should be mailed to the following address:  Basking Ridge Little LeagueP.O. ELIGIBILITY

The Challenger Division is a baseball program for boys and girls ages 5 through 18, or until the completion of high school, with special needs.  The most fundamental goal of the Challenger Division is to give everyone a chance to play regardless of ability.  Full details about the League and the registration process are in the 2009 Challenger Division Information Guide which will be available at the League website, www.brll.org.  Please read and keep a copy of the Information Guide. 

ITEMS NEEDED TO REGISTER

You will need the following items to complete registration:1) Completed Registration Form                                                                                       2) Copy of player’s birth certificate (if not on file with League, please mail upon completing registration)3) Check for the player registration fee made out to Basking Ridge Little League. 

FEES

The 2009 registration fee will be $25.  The registration fee covers the purchase of baseball shirts, cap, and trophy at the end of the season. 

COACHES, VOLUNTEERS, SPONSORS
