| Brigantine Baseball Minor League History was made Friday evening April 25, 2008 as CrabShack, coached by Harry Dascenzo, and Cooke Plumbing, coached by Jay Buchbinder, played the first game ever on the minor league field, under the lights. Umpire Tom Granahan flipped the light switch at 7:42 pm as Minor League Commissioner Mike Riordan was on hand to congratulate all involved with the historic occasion and the game continued. Crabshack prevailed in a closely contested match 8-6. |

| Game 4 VFW 10 Beachcomber 5---TJ Spaghetti & Ty the Guy shut it down the first three innings, while we scored nine in the first two highlighted by TJ's triple and Murph's long shot to the fence, Brendan pitched the fourth with a little help from Zach, Beachcomber scored five, Ish got his wish and had an in-the-park home run in the bottom of the fourth that went off the second basemen's head. Thank God he was OK. Zacarino struck out three in the fifth and informed me he believes he leads the league with a dozen strikeouts. Call the scouts! Beachcomber came to bat in the top of the sixth with a chance to tie, only down by five, and Coach Craig needing to get to work. Johnny "Spuds" ended all hopes of a comeback, pitching a near perfect sixth. Hopefully, Coach Craig made it to work on time. The rest of the V team, Jake, Tristen, Mark A, Daniel R, all chipped in with victory number four. Next game Wednesday 4/30/8 vs Cooke 5:30 |

| Game 3 Sat 4/19/8 vs Commerce. TJ Spaghetti got things rolling with a 2 run in the park HR in the 1st and the game was close until the 5th when the V opened it up. Good pitching by Murph, TJ, Zach, Ish & Johnny R. Congratulations to Mark Alosi & Daniel Rivera for their 1st hits in the minor league. Way to go Brendan & Johnny Mags knocking in those runs and Tristen taking those HBP's(hit by pitchs) for the team. Final Score VFW 14 Commerce 8 |
