Also, we wanted to let you know of a very special upcoming event this summer.

The league has been awarded the 2017 ages 9-10 baseball state tournament, which will take place in July. The has hosted two state tournaments (ages 11-12 baseball in 2014 and ages 9-10 softball in 2016) recently and is just as excited to host this one. This is a great opportunity for leagues around the state to see how special BCLL we're inviting you to help.

At 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, in Fieldhouse 3, the league will have its first organizational meeting to start planning for the tournament. We need plenty of help preparing and would love to have anyone interested come to the meeting. No help is too small or too big. We have lots of jobs and committees; you can head up one or just be a part of one. We will need help during the actual tournament, as well. So, if you can't be a part of the planning, but will have some time next summer, that's great also.

If you cannot make it but still want to be involved, please contact Ginger Griffin, state tournament coordinator, at or 280-6995. Or just let her know how you want to help and she can put you in touch with that committee chairperson. We will be having regular meetings and will send out more announcements about them in the future.

In the event of bad weather, please CHECK THIS SITE or listen to WSVA radio (550 AM) for delay or cancellation announcements. When possible, cancellation decisions are made by 4:00PM.  Often times it may be raining or dry in one part of the county and completly opposite at the fields.
