Bridgewater Community Little League: Welcome

A makeup in-person registration day will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, in Fieldhouse 3 at Oakdale Park.

Just a reminder, those registering need to provide three proofs of residency and a birth certificate (if the player has not played before at Bridgewater Community Little League).

To make the proof of residency process easier for you and the league, here are a few tips:

1. Proofs must be dated between Feb. 1, 2015 and Feb. 1, 2016.

2. Proofs must have the address of the parents on them. Please note magazine labels, the outside of an envelope, and junk mail do not count as they are not official documents. We also can no longer take checks as a proof. A full list of eligible proofs can be found at

3. Here are the easiest proofs to supply: a driver's license, voter registration, hunting/fishing license and vehicle registration. Most people have these and they are usually within the dates listed above.

4. You can either scan the proofs and upload them as you register online, or bring them to any of the walk-in registration times.

Registration is also available online. Use this address or click on the "Jevin" box below right to register:

The ages 9-10 softball state tournament planning meeting, postponed from Sunday, has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, in Fieldhouse 3 at Oakdale Park.

A few weeks ago, a successful first planning meeting was held for the tournament, which will be played in July. The league is excited about the opportunity to showcase our league and park to teams and officials from around the state - as we did two years ago with the ages 11-12 baseball tourney.

We need so much help, in not only the planning stage, but when the actual tournament gets here. We want to make this a really special event for the girls on the teams and need lots of new ideas and help to do that. You don't have to have any kind of experience, just a desire to help! Please consider coming and sharing your ideas. We invite anyone who is interested in helping to attend. If you want to help, but are not able to come, please contact Ginger Griffin at We hope to see you there!

Sunday, Feb. 28, will be the annual Bridgewater Community Little League customer appreciation day at Dick's Sporting Goods in Harrisonburg. A special coupon is available to use that day and available for download under than Forms and Publications link on this website. In the meantime, other discounts are available by clicking on the Dick's Sporting Goods banner below.

Thanks again to all of the volunteers who made the 2015 Jennie Finch Softball Camp a great success. BCLL and JMU hosted the camp the weekend of August 29-30. (see picture below)

In the event of bad weather, please CHECK THIS SITE or listen to WSVA radio (550 AM) for delay or cancellation announcements. When possible, cancellation decisions are made by 4:00PM.  Often times it may be raining or dry in one part of the county and completly opposite at the fields.
