Brick City receives Carolina Region Sportsmanship Award
At the Carolina Region Championships in the Greensboro Sportsplex, Sportsmanship Awards were awarded in the 15 Gold, 17 Gold and 18 Gold divisions. Brick City 18 Inferno - National received the award for 18 Gold. Players, parents and coaches all played a part in this award and we are especially proud of this award as a reflection of the spirit of our team.
"The Region will continue to recognize Good Team Sportsmanship during the year. The Region will add a place on the Tournament Evaluation forms for the coaches and ask its adult Officials for feedback on Outstanding Team Sportsmanship (both on the court and off). Traits such as cleaning up their bench areas/team areas, making honor calls, volunteering for extra duties, etc should be emphasized for this honor."
