Tournament 2013 Update

BRIB Coaches,

 

We have had a great season, and now we are approaching our last season weekend and move on to tournament. A few things to know about the tournament:  
  • Upcoming Tournament: The tournament will be played week of March 4th, the tentative schedule has been posted on website -->  http://www.eteamz.com/brib/schedules/
  • Tournament Finals: will be played at Highlands on Saturday on March 9th.
  •  Who Plays in Tournament: Given the number of teams we will only be playing top 4 seeds per division in the tournament.
  • Reporting Scores: Final scores/games weekend of 3/2 will drive the final top 4 seeds. Please review the scores with the gym score keeper (usually the clock keeper) prior to leaving the gym.
  • Seeding: Seeding will be created based on the following criteria:
  1. # of Games won
  2. Head to Head competition 
  3.  Coin toss Things to remember as we approach tournament:  
  •  Substitution Rule: (except for 5th/6th grade division) There are no substitutions in the 1st Quarter of the game, and only players who have already played a full Quarter can be subbed in Quarter 2/3. Similarly if you have more than 10 players, no substitutions in 2nd Quarter and only those who played full Quarter can be subbed in Quarter 3/4.
  •  Officials:  Remember to respect the call of the official, and if you have any issues please go to your BRIB school representative.
  • Defensive Pressure: There is no full court pressure, except in 5th/6th division and in the event of a fast break for 1st/2nd and 3rd/4th grade divisions. For 3rd/4th grade half court defensive pressure may be used in the last 2 minutes of the 2nd and 4th quarters.

BRIB Season 2013 - First Games January 12th!

Welcome back to BRIB league. We are all very excited to start our new season. We had a great season last year, with great participation and sportsmanship and looking forward to another exciting season.

 Our first games will be on Saturday January 12th, and the schedule will be posted THIS WEEK. If you haven't had a chance to review the updated Handouts please do so by going to HANDOUTS.
