Red /Blue game

Great game played by both the Red and Blue Farm teams as they battled out a 6 inning game on the Major field. The Blue team ended up on top 5-3 in a well played game by both teams.

Adult Softball game

Led by Romeo Baddo and Miguel Zendejas's 3 homers each, (yes 3 each) the old washed up softball players beat the other old washed up softball players team in convincing matter. Paul Adame's neck is still on ice from watching all his pitches go over the fence...

Tryout Info

Tryouts or player evaluations are necessary to properly place players in their proper division.  You must attend at least one tryout, players are more than welcome and even encouraged to attend both.

The tryout consists of fielding 3 grounders at the shortstop position and throwing to first base. They will also get 3 fly balls in the outfield and they will then throw the ball to 2nd base.  The tryout concludes with the player getting 3 swings at the plate from an adult pitcher and on the last swing must run the entire bases.  Once this is complete the player is allowed to leave.

Please have your child come in proper baseball attire ( cleats, baseball pants or sweat pants)  and with their own gloves ( please have their names on there). The league will supply bats and helmets for the tryouts that need to be returned.

Managers then evaluate the players and usually within one week of the final tryout they will draft teams and each player will try and be placed in their proper playing division.

Majors- This is a highly competitive division where players are from ages 10-12. We usually only have 4 teams and players that are chosen to a team could play on that team up until their 12 year old year.

Minors- Minors usually has 5-6 teams and ranges from ages 8-11. Our Minor division re-drafts the teams each year.

Farm- Farm has between 4-6 teams each year.  Ages usually range from 7-10 (in some cases where players haven't played before). Farm is instructional and uses the softer baseball.

T-ball- T-ball has between 4-5 teams each year. Ages are 5 and 6, some 7 year olds may play t-ball at the parents request. Players hit off the tee for part of the season and then are pitched to by the coaches.

It was a great All star season for the 11/12's winning District 44 and Section 5 tournaments this year. Each  player contributed to the success of the team and played excellent ball throughout. Special thanks to Manager Frank Contreras, Coaches Paul Renucci, Dave Tanquary and Jeff Bernhardt for all their hard work with this team. It was a great accomplishment to be one of the top 6 all star teams in Northern California.  Thanks also to all the fans (and there were a lot) who supported the team throughout their journey. TOC Updates

Family and Friends of Briarwood EL Camino Little League

I would like to inform all of you who have not heard the great news...............Briarwood A's have won the District 44 Minor Division TOC Championship Flag................

The A's capture their title yesterday in a very well played game by all 13 players of the A's team against the always tough Westside Mets.  As President of this league I have to express how very honored I have been to have been  represented by the kids of this team.  They played a very hard game with control and discpline, they all held their heads high and played with class.  They were ahead  the whole game and WS's Mets came back to tie the game in the bottom of the 6th inning which forced our A's into extra innings.  By staying in control by all team members, coaches and fans the team was able to focus on making plays and winning the game.   Much needed CONGRATULATIONS TO THE A'S TEAMS.

Our Briarwood Team has not caputure that Minor Division TOC Champs title in at least 6 years.  GOOD JOB BRIARWOOD A'S!!!

NOW

The Briarwood Pirates are playing tonight in the Major Division D44 TOC championship game.  The Pirates could use some of that BWOOD family power.  Briarwood is facing a tough Homestead LL Yankees in the D44 Ship game tonight at Moreland LL.  Please come out and wear your BWOOD gear.  Lets bring the house to Moreland and show our BWOOD pride!

Good luck to the Pirates as they tried to capture their 3rd title.

Hope to see some of you there tonight!

Chris
