CLUB HISTORY

The Barrington Redwings Hockey Organization was organized during the spring and summer of 1995, and incorporated on August 22, 1995. The Redwings were formed as the successor organization to the Barrington Area Hockey League (BAHL) to open up the goverance and operations of the Club. During its first season of operation (1995-1996) the Redwings were accepted into membership in USA Hockey, AHAI, NIHL, and NWHL. In addition, in April of 1996, the Redwings obtained sole possession of the Barrington District under AHAI's club districting rules. (Note: AHAI's geographic districting system was eliminated with the 1997-1998 season).

2007-08 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

Silver Mites win NWHL Mite Silver Tournament championship, and also finish 2nd in the regular season standings.

Squirt A2's finish 4th in NIHL Squirt Bronze Tournament

Bantam A's finish 2nd in Blackhawk Cup

Midget Majors finish 4th in NIHL Midget Major Tournament

Mite AA's are the champions of the Elmbrook, Wisconsin Shootout

Squirt AA's are champions of the Chicago Pre-Season Challenge Tournament

PeeWee AA's are champions of the River Falls, Wisconsin Tournament



Thursday, July 5
2006-07 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
Three Redwing teams captured NIHL banners in their post-season tournaments:

Redwing Mite AA's save their best for the regular season tournament and dominated the Chargers, 8-3 to take 3rd place in the Mite Gold tournament. The Redwings were one goal away from playing for the championship, losing to the eventual champion Sabres.

Redwing Midget Minors seized the 3rd place banner by beating Rockford 3-0 in the Midget Minor Elite tournament. The team also posted an 11-6-3 record during the regular season to finish in 3rd place overall.

Redwing Midget Majors played tough all season long finishing 4th with a 12-5-3 record. They also captured the 4th place flag in the Midget Major Elite tournament.

2005-06 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
Mite A's became tournament champions in the NIHL Mite Silver division, after posting a 12-2-2 season long record to finish 1st in the Mite Silver division of NIHL.

Mite B's play a strong post-season to earn a well deserved 2nd Place in the NWHL Gold Mite tournament

The Bantam A team played well all season to go 11-4-1 and place third in the regular season standings of the Bantam Bronze division of NIHL.

Bantam AA's posted a 10-4-2 regular season record to finish 4th in their Bantam Gold division of NIHL. 

2004-05 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

Mite B1 team goes undefeated in NWHL Mite Silver regular season play with a 5-0-1 record and wins regular season championship.

Mite A's place 4th overall in the regular season NIHL Mite Silver division with a 11-5-0 record.

PeeWee AA team goes undefeated with a 12-0-4 regular season record to place 2nd overall in the regular season of the NIHL PeeWee Silver division.

Midget Major team wins NIHL Midget Major Championship after going undefeated, 19-0-5 and finishing in first place in the NIHL regular season standings. Fifteen of the seventeen Midget Major Redwings are drafted by Juniors teams, or secure spots on college teams.

Midget Minor squad finishes 2nd overall in the regular season standings with a 16-5-3 record.



2003-04 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
Bantam AA team earns the President's Cup in the Bantam Gold division of NIHL. Then in the Bantam Gold season ending tournament, they validate their regular season performance by winning the championship. They become the Bantam Gold NIHL tournament champions.

Squirt AA team wins the Squirt Gold, Pool B tournament and becomes the Squirt Gold "B" champions in NIHL.

1999-00 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

1998-99 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
Midget Silver's win the season ending tournament to become champions of the Midget Silver division of NIHL.

1997-98 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS
Mite AA's win the Mite Silver NIHL tournamnet to earn themselves the championship banner.
