Winter '09 - '10 Season Is Coming

(next to HBHS)
This Season:
We are going to have a MS (7/8th) Team and are hoping to field 2 High School level teams depending on the number of players interested! The 11/12 grade players will be entered in the Elite Division and the 9/10 grade players will be entered in the HS Division. This will give the guys a tough road but they will be playing against other teams that will help elevate their level of play. It is ideal to have 18 to 20 players on each team and we are looking for the guys to be committed to being present for all scheduled practices along with the weekend games!
It has also been brought to my attention that the "OC Starz" team is becoming an "All Star" travel & tournament team. They will take coaches recommendation players to form a squad that will participate in recruiting tournaments both on the west coast & the east. This Allows players to continue playing with their normal teammates in regular season Jamborees and also have the opportunity to play on the OC Stars travel team.
Breakerz Mission:
The 7/8th team consists of mostly guys from "Blackhawks", forming more or less an "elite" team focused on High School Prep. Players should expect a higher level of competition and to be taught "Team" offensive & defensive strategies that they will need to continue at the high school level.
The H.S. teams consists of any players from N. Orange County that want to play though it is expected to be mostly HBHS players. There will also be a focus on refining "team" strategies and developing strong "game sense" and "field presence" concepts that will elevate the level of Lacrosse for our area. We will also give attention to developing "precision play" with respect to individual skills (aka. no more "gorilla ball")
Breakerz Moving Forward:
We feel that it is valuable to the players with higher developed skills to continue to be challenged by both playing with and against the most competitive players around. These teams pool from all schools in the area hoping to get the top 4 or 5 players from each school playing together against the best from all over SoCal. We will keep everyone posted as this develops through the spring.
