Brazos Valley Juniors: Awards and Honors: 2009 Awards and Honors

Brazos Valley athletes recognized for their outstanding athletic achievements!

*Mollie Jane Martinez, playing for Iola High School was named District MVP.

*Shelby Dickson, playing for A&M Consolidated High School was named District 12-5A MVP.

*Tiffany Regmund, playing for Bryan High School was named Most Valuable Hitter in District 12-5A. 

Kaylee Piatt, Bryan High School, was named 1st team All District in District 12-5A. 

*Lauren Pavloske, libero for Montgomery High School was named to the TGCA 4A All State team! She was also named to the All-Greater Houston 2nd team by the Houston Chronicle.

*Jennie Watkins was named 1st Team All District for District 18-4A and was named to the Academic All District team playing for Willis High School

*Brooke Engel, Rudder High School, was named Defensive MVP for District 24-3A. 

*Sara DeLeon, Rudder High School, was named 1st team, All District in 24-3A. 

*Taylor Schwartz, Rudder High School, was named 2nd team All District in 24-3A.

*Ashley Atkins was named to the District 24-3A Honorable Mention Team for Rudder High 

*Amy Holt was named District Newcomer of the Year in District 10-2A playing for Leon High School and leading them to the Regional Quarterfinals. 

*Lauren Pavloske was named Defensive MVP for District 18-4A and was named Montgomery County Defensive Player of the Year. Lauren led Montgomery High School to the 4A Regional Finals.

*Congratulations to A&M Consolidated Varsity Players who finished undefeated in District 13-5A without every dropping a set. In addition, the team made it to the Sweet 16 in Texas before falling in the Regional Semi-Finals. Valuable players included: Erika Arthur, Megan Caruso, Karrian Chambers, Brooke Davidson, Shelby Dickson, Neely Edwards, Bailey Gillum, Ashton Holliday, Kelsey Kinley, Paulina Ramirez, Julie Westerbur.

* Charis Brantley, Mackey Edwards, Maddie Gaines, Shellie Hudspeth, Kailey LaBove, Mandy Nelson, Kendall Pye, Jordyn Slocum, and Jessica Wagner led A&M Consolidated to an undefeated JV District Championship.

*Julynn Clayton led the Caldwell JV team to an undefeated District Championship.

*Shelbi Ferrell, Hannah Robertson, and Emily Englemann led the Caldwell Hornets Freshman team to an undefeated District Championship.

*Lauren Loehr, Britnie Rice, and Nicole Rockett led Caldwell Middle School to the 8th grade District Championship!

*Avery Baker, Kayce Campbell, Hillary House, Meredith Lightsey, and Shelby Wagner led the A&M Consolidated Middle School to the College Station 8th grade Tournament Championship.

*Shelby Anderson and Rachel Mitchell were instrumental in the Rudder JV team winning the Leon Tournament.

*Taelor Edgin led her Centerville JV team to a first place finish at the Centerville Tournament.

*Caitlin Germany, Huntsville High School, was named to the All Tournament Team at the Santa Fe Varsity Tournament.

*Leanne Osborne, Brazos Christian High School, was named to the All Tournament Team at the 16 team Alpha Omega Varsity Tournament.

*Brooke Engel, Rudder High School, was named to the All Tournament Team in the 32 team field at the Waco Robinson Varsity Tournament.

*Charis Brantley, Jessi Ball, and Lanie Teinart led the A&M Consolidated Freshman team to a First Place finish at the Bryan Freshman Tournament.

*Mackey Edwards, Maddie Gaines, Shellie Hudspeth, Kailey LaBove, Mandy Nelson, Kendall Pye, Jordyn Slocum, and Jessica Wagner led A&M Consolidated to an undefeated day at the Bryan High Junior Varsity Tournament.

*Shelby Dickson, A&M Consolidated, was named to the All Tournament Team at the Frauleinfest Tournament in New Braunfels.

* Kaylee Piatt, Bryan High School, was named Honorable Mention All Texas Team on Lonestarvolleyball.com

*Shelby Dickson, A&M Consolidated, Caitlin Germany, Huntsville, Tiffany Regmund, Bryan High, Julie Westerbur, A&M Consolidated were all named to the Special Recognition List on the LonestarVolleyball.com All Texas Team.

*Emily Caruso was named Outstanding 7th grade Athlete at College Station Middle School.

* Ashley Atkins was named Outstanding 8th grade Athlete at Sam Rayburn Middle School.

* Jordy Dickson was named Outstanding 7th grade Volleyball Player at College Station Middle School.
