Brazos Valley Juniors: My Site News: Brazos Valley 14 Red Medals at Lone Star!

All fourteen Brazos Valley Juniors teams competed at the largest National Qualifer in the country over the past two weekends playing in the Lone Star Classic. Tons of great volleyball was on display and we are very proud of our teams! Congratulations to 14 Red who won bronze medals playing in the 14 Select Division! Special Congratulations goes to our 15 Mizuno team which deserves the "go for it" award by being our first team in club history to compete in the Open Division of a National qualifier. The team did great going 4-4 on the weekend including a defeat of the Big South Tournament champions. Our 16 Mizuno team finished 9th overall in the gold bracket and our 12 Mizuno team had an outstanding weekend in a very tough field finishing 15th overall (tournament is not split into Open, club and Select, so the performance by 12 Mizuno was very impressive!) 14 Mizuno also had a great weekend, winning some exciting matches and showing great teamwork making it to the challenge matches in the 160 team field. Our 14 Navy team, 15 Navy team and 17 Mizuno team also made the top half of the tournament field.

 Good luck to 16 Mizuno as they participate in the Far Western qualifier in Reno this coming weekend!
