Brazos Valley Juniors: My Site News: BVJ Hosts New Year's High Performance Clinics!
Want to give a present that can't be bought at the mall? Want to help feed your daughter's appetite to improve her volleyball skills? How about the unique gift of volleyball training!?
Here are the details:
All Clinics will be held at A&M Consolidated Middle School in College Station and are open to any interested volleyball player (they do not have to be a current BVJ player).
Clinic schedule is as follows:
Friday January 1:
Session 1: 12:00-1:45 Hitting (12's & 13's)
Session 2: 2:00-3:45 Setting (All Ages)
Session 3: 4:00-5:45 Hitting (14's & Older)
Saturday January 2:
Session 4: 12:00-3:45 (counts as two sessions, relative to pricing) Total Ball Control/Defense/Passing (All Ages-courts will be separated by skill level)
*This 2 session combination is for players of ALL positions. This clinic will focus on Passing/Serve-Receive, Floor Defense, Emergency Moves and Non-Setter Setting. A great technique double session!
Session 5: 4:15-5:45 Blocking & Serving (All Ages)
Patrick Nicholas, the Head Coach at University of North Carolina at Greensboro will lead the clinics and will be assisted by his current Assistant Coach at UNC-G and Former Big 12 and Oklahoma Sooner star Laura Tomes. Kallie Pence, currently playing at Rutgers University in the Big East and former All State Player at Bryan High will also assist in setting and defensive training.
Clinic sizes are limited so enrollment is first come, first serve! Each of the past two years, all sessions have sold out!
Pricing is as follows:
2010 Pricing: 1 Session = $40.00; 2 Sessions = $75.00; 3 Sessions = $105.00 and 4 Sessions = $130.00.

Any walk-ups (if space is available) will be $50 per session (remember that Session 4 is a double session).

We will collect payments at the door at the beginning of each session. Preregistration is very important so that Patrick can plan for the clinics appropriately.
