Brazos Valley 151 Qualifies for Junior Olympics!!
Brazos Valley Juniors 151 continued their terrific season by qualifying for Junior Olympics to be played in Minneapolis, Minnesota beginning June 29th. What a tremendous accomplishment for this fine team and coaches. Brazos Valley Juniors had a fun weekend at the Regional Championships with lots of great matches and some outstanding team finishes. Brazos Valley 141 finished 5th in the region,just one place away from qualifying for Nationals. (There is a slim chance of hope that the team will receive a reallocation bid to Nationals, but we are still waiting....)They only lost one match all weekend, which was to the Regional Champion, Braggin'Rights. BVJ 171 concluded an excellent season, placing very respectable 9th place after dropping matches on Sunday to the 1st and 4th place overall teams. Brazos Valley 142 and Brazos Valley 152 both finished second in their pool the first day and then after falling in their cross match, went undefeated on Sunday to win the silver brackets and finishing 22nd overall. Brazos Valley 152's only losses were to the 1st and 2nd place team in the region. Brazos Valley 121 and 122 finished 15th and 23rd respectively and this young group shows tremendous promise for the future! Brazos Valley 132 and 143 both had winning records for the tournament finishing 30th and 43rd overall. Other final results were 131 and 161 finshed 45th, 133 was 68th and 153 was 78th. Overall, Brazos Valley Juniors had a terrific club season.
