Brazos Valley 151 Has Stellar Weekend at Lone Star!
Our 5 older teams were at the 20th Annual Lone Star Classic in Dallas this weekend and our 151 team had an amazing run that ended with a heartbreaking loss to Dallas Skyline National. 151 went undefeated in their pool on Day 1 and Day 2, then won two Challenge matches to earn a spot in the 16 team Gold Bracket out of 150+ teams. The team won the first round to earn a spot on the Elite 8 and then in the Quarterfinals played terrific but lost 18-16 in the third for a chance to play in the semifinals. Brazos Valley 171 was first on Saturday, Second on Sunday, but then lost their challenge match on Sunday night to finish a very respectable 29th in an extremely tough field. 153 finished Second on the first day in 15 Select to earn a spot in the top half of their tournament and played very well in their winners half on Sunday and Monday. Brazos Valley 152 won their pool on the second day and then dropped a close one in the finals of their bracket on Monday. Brazos Valley 161 had some close matches winning one each day and playing many teams very close. Overall, a very successful weekend for Brazos Valley playing teams of all levels from all over the country!
