Brazos Little League Baseball: Welcome

WELCOME TO BRAZOS LITTLE LEAGUE

Dear Players, Families and Friends of Brazos Little League, registration is over, tryouts are done, teams are drafted and practice in underway -- welcome to the Brazos Little League 2015 Spring Season! We, as families have discovered, the Little League experience is one that not only touches the players, but also the many dads/moms who coach, the many parents who volunteer and the many siblings who find themselves at BLL almost daily from February to May.  BLL is as much about family and friends as it is about baseball.  It teaches us all about sportsmanship, winning with humility, and losing with grace. BLL has become a destination in our children’s lives where we gather to celebrate both sport and fellowship.  We want to thank everyone who makes BLL possible: our Board of Directors, our Team Managers, Coaches, Asst. Coaches and Team Moms. Also, A HUGE Thank You to our Field Sign Sponsors and Team Sponsors and countless Volunteers.

WELCOME TO THE BRAZOS LITTLE LEAGUE TEAM MOM PAGE

Brazos Little League would like to THANK YOU for your time and your commitment to your child's team.  Your willingness to get involved and make a difference means the players and parents will have the best possible experience this baseball and softball season.  Please check this page on a regular basis for important information that you will need to share with your team.  Once again, we thank you and look forward to a great spring season!!

WHAT DOES A TEAM MOM DO?
  • Your primary responsilbilty during the season is to act as the "Go-To" person for the parents and to make sure important information from the coach or league is relayed.  This also includes having good communications with your little league board of directors.  Team Moms help with administrative and organizing tasks, which allows the coach to focus on coaching his/her team.
GENERALLY THE TEAM MOM WILL BE ASKED TO DO THE FOLLOWNG:
  • Assist the Coaching Staff in distributing PRACTICE, GAME DAY schedule or ROSTER
  • TEAM ROSTER can be sent to you. Contact the Resgistar at brazoslittleleague@gmail.com
  • Coordinate team parent volunteers to work in the concession stand
  • Distribute fundraiser information to parents/players
  • Collect money from parents/players for fundraisers and submit to a League Represenative
  • Collect Team picture Forms/Money. Inform parents of schedule
  • Help coordinate a Team Party at the end of the season
HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE TO BE A TEAM MOM?
  • How much time it takes, depends on how much you do yourself and how much help you request from the other team parents.  Asking for help and/or assigning responsibilities is a good thing!
WHAT IS NOT A TEAM MOM RESPONSIBILITY?
  • To be a go-between for the parent comments or concerns regarding the league and/or coaches.  If a situation occurs, please have the parent/guardian contact a little league board member.
"Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy.  You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in."
