  Welcome

Welcome to the Soundview Stingrays!

November 29th UPDATEOur next USS meet will be the Hutchinson Classic on Dec. 9-11 at SCSU.  13/overs will have trials in the morning and finals in the eventing for the top 16 finishers in each event.   12/unders will complete in the afternoon.  For 10/unders, this is a "timed final" while 11/12 swimmers who make top 16 will complete in finals in the evening.  See "Swim Meets" to the left for more information and "Pool Locations" for direction to SCSU.

The Branford Stingrays was organized in 1972. Last year, over 160 swimmers, from 6 year olds to college undergraduates, participated in the program. We offer a stimulating, challenging, but enjoyable program that stresses stroke technique, starts, turns and basic training. We measure success not in terms of one or two extremely successful swimmers, but in the measurable improvement of all our swimmers. We want all our members to become the best swimmers they can be.

We strive to improve our swimmer's physical skills, to help them develop the self-confidence to set challenging personal goals, the self-discipline to persist in pursuing those goals, and an appreciation for the way that they and their teammates can help each other attain their goals through teamwork and mutual support. We believe these qualities serve them not only in the pool but in the classroom and in life.

If you have questions about the program, please send them via email to gam72352@gmail.com.
