Bedford Pound Ridge Baseball Association: Welcome

Welcome to the Bedford Pound Ridge Baseball Association (BPRBA) home page.

We are proud to announce the continuation of our signature health and safety initiative: the CPR / AED Program.  Over the last three years, we have trained dozens of volunteer parents and coaches in American Heart Association life-safety courses.  We have maintained an AED at each of our baseball fields and have had a trained volunteer on alert for every game played.

This year, we are enhancing the program by incorporating first aid and concussion protocol training.  We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to be part of this critical program in 2015.  Trained volunteers will each cover a few games per month, and almost certainly only games in which their child is playing.  As always, the training is provided compliments of the league as part of our commitment to the overall health and welfare of our players.

The training dates are as follows:

March 22, 2015 (Sunday) 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
March 24, 2015 (Tuesday) 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
April 7, 2015 (Tuesday) 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Please email Brian Fields ( if you would like to participate.  All training will be conducted by our healthcare professional, Stacey Cleveland (

  Opening Day is April 18th

  Picture Day is April 25th

Sincerely, BPRBA

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball.  I'll tell you what I do.  I stare out the window and wait for spring."

BPRBA provides residents of Pound Ridge and Bedford Village with youth recreational baseball for boys and girls from Kindergarten through 9th grade. Recreation Teams are determined by grade. There are five in-house leagues in the spring season.

The Instructional League is for Kindergarten players who are at least 5 years old (Pre-K does not qualify, even if age 5) and they generally play their games on Saturday mornings at Bedford Village Town Park.

The Rookie League is for 1st and 2nd grade players and they generally play one game on Saturday mornings and one game during the week, both at Pound Ridge Town Park.

The Minor League is for 3rd and 4th grade players and they generally play one weekend game and one weeknight game, generally at Pound Ridge Elementary School.

The Major League is for 5th and 6th grade players and they generally play one weekend game and one weeknight game at Bedford Village Town Park.

The Senior League is for players in 7th, 8th and 9th grades. Their teams play their games against teams from other towns, travel is minimal however.

BPRBA sponsors a team which plays in the Challenger League. This League provides a baseball experience for children with physical and mental disabilities.

Schedules of games for the upcoming week can be found on the bottom of this page. Complete schedules for each league can be obtained by clicking on the "schedules" tab to the left. Standings for the Minors, Majors and Seniors can be obtained by clicking on the "standings" tab to the left.

There are travel baseball teams in the summer and fall for age groups 9 and up. Tryouts for these teams are typically held in May.  Please see below for more on our eligibility criteria and any updates for Travel try outs.
