THE APPROACH

CHOOSING AN APPROACH
An approach is defined by how many steps are taken to get to the foul line in order to release the ball. There are many different approaches, some more popular than others.
1. The four-step approach is probably the most common. In this approach, you take four steps to approach the foul line.
2. The five-step approach is quite popular as well. In this approach you delay your arm swing by one extra step helping to establish a smooth, flowing motion.
-Although these two are the most common approaches, you should find an approach that works for you, a beginners best indicator is comfort and feel.
