GETTING STARTED

Bowling is a fun recreational sport, enjoyed by many people from all walks of life. Although bowling is an essential part of my life, I understand that there are those yet to experience this incredible pastime. The following notes are some beginning instruction to those of you yet to experience the joy of bowling.

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET STARTED
If you are a beginner, everything you will need to get started will be made available at the bowling center you choose. Here is a list of things you will need.

1. Bowling shoes.
2. Bowling ball.
3. A score sheet (unless the facility has automatic scorers).

OBJECT OF BOWLING
The object of bowling is simply to knock down as many pins as possible in the 10 frames of a game. Spares, strikes, and turkeys all will help you to obtain as high a score as possible.

HOW TO PLAY
Bowling is a challenging game of both luck & skill. A game consists of 10 frames, with two chances of knocking all 10 pins down per frame.
