  Question  Injury
I recently began bowling in a mixed handicap league after about 10 yeaars of inactivity. I bowled a 203 using a house ball, so I was encouraged to get some new equipment and go to a fingertip ball. I did so, opting for a mid-rang Ebonite Bash (15 lbs) and although my ball feels perfect, after bowling with it last week for the 1st time, the back of my hand (not the fingers) became so swollen that I could not even turn a door knob or use a stapler for several days. The swelling and pain has subsided quite a bit, but I am still not sure if I will be able to bowl this week in league. I went back to the pro shop, and we both agreed that the ball looked like it was drilled fine....the pro recommended a wrist support after watching me release a couple balls.....any ideas or comments? I did not get inserts, and the pro said that inserts would not make any difference in my situation....
