Thank you to ALL the Teams that participated this year. We had 101 Teams, 35 Organizations, From 4 States, 207 Games, Crowned 10 Champions, Gave out 240 Trophies & 11 Plaques all in 1 Weekend. Proceeds from our Tournament will help Fund College Scholarships to Students who have played in our League. Thanks again and we hope to see you next year!!

We closed out at 101 TEAMS (Were hopefull to close at 90 Teams) and unfortunately had to turn away 38 Teams registrations and 24 verbal waiting list Teams. We have Teams from 4 States, CT, VT, RI and MA. with 35 Travel Team Organizations represented. Good Luck To All The Teams trying to win any of our 10 Division Championships This Year.

SWISH LEAGUE RECREATION
BASKETBALL PROGRAM
REGISTRATION- for the 2008 – 2009 Season The Bourne Youth Swish League Basketball Program is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through 8th grade.
Requirements include residency in the town of Bourne or enrollment at a school in the town of Bourne. ALL St. Margarets and Waldorf children are welcome. Out of town residents that attend a school in Bourne, are NOT eligible to play on our TRAVEL TEAMS, but are welcome to play in our recreation league.
Teams will practice for 1 hour per week and play 1 or an occasional 2 games per week as detailed below. Game this year will begin after the Christmas Holidays.

DIVISIONS and TIME COMMITTMENTS
Mid-West Division is an introductory coed level for kindergarten and 1st graders. The Mid-West will meet once a week on Saturdays for a 30 minute practice followed by an all inclusive 30 minute controlled game. The goal at this level is to introduce the game of basketball to the children with NO competitive feel.
West Division is also coed and is an instructional level for 2nd graders. This level will practice once a week on a weeknight and play 1 game on Saturdays. There is a referee present and coaches are allowed on the court during games. NO score is kept and the emphasis is on instruction.
East Division has separate boys and girls divisions for 3rd and 4th graders combined. This is an advanced instructional level that starts to incorporate the structure of the game. Teams will practice once a week on weeknights and play 1 game on Saturdays. There will be 2 referees per game and score is kept with no standings or playoffs.
Central Division has separate boys and girls divisions and is for 5th and 6th graders combined. This division will practice once a week and play 1 to 2 games per week. All practices and games are weeknights at this time. Score is kept and standings are recorded. Playoffs may be incorporated this year.
Senior Division level has separate divisions for boys and girls for 7th and 8th graders combined. They will practice once a week and play 1 to 2 games per week. All practices and games are weeknights. Score is kept, standings are recorded, and this division may have playoffs.

TRAVEL TEAM FOR BOYS AND GIRLS
GRADES 4TH, 5TH, 6TH, 7TH, 8th
THIS IS NOT THE SWISH LEAGUE RECREATION PROGRAM
Cost for each player is $200.00. This includes all costs. The CCYBL Fees , 4 March tournaments, uniforms, referees, insurances, and gym space rentals.
Teams will play 12 to 14 games in the Cape Cod Youth Basketball League ( www.capehoops.com )over 7 weekends from December to the 1st weekend of February. Teams will play in 4 tournaments in Late February and March wrapping up with our 18th Annual David Busnengo Memorial Tournament in Bourne on March 28th and 29th.
